Sheron; I’m just catching up with the news that I have missed.
I am so sorry to hear about your Mom’s passing. I wish that your family and in particular you, find some peace at last. It is a very trying time to caretake anyone’s demise, but especially if it is a loved one. I’m sure you are feeling sad but hopefully over time you will remember the good times that you spent with your Mom. Take care and stay in touch.

  • weezie10 // August 9, 2009 at 6:33 pm

Laura; Aren’t you the one. Thanks for that kind and special comment. I too have missed being here and I have no excuses. I have been and still fighting what I hope is NOT H1N1. This is the 10th day, and still have a full chest and loaded nose. Well you get the picture…..
Actually that sounds kind of ugly, but all the same, it’s a pain in the rear. oh oh that’s even worse graphics. Ok Ok, I’m lazy and I haven’t been around to bug you guys lately, so I thought who better than my buddies at Dave’s place? Anyway I have a plate load of t.v to watch tonight. I’m into KINGS and 60 MINUTES, but I will return (ha) tomorrow. Oh oh, I have an all day fest with AMC, showing both seasons of MAD MEN, starting at 7am tomorrow right through till 8pm. I know I will need a break, from it all, so back I will trot (another poor choice of words), on Monday.

Love ya all ….. keep smilin

  • snoopysleuth // August 9, 2009 at 7:18 pm

Sheron~~my heart goes out to you. Your mother is finally at peace. Take lots of time to grieve. Tender hugs, detwill

  • snoopysleuth // August 9, 2009 at 7:19 pm

Hi Weezie~~nice to see you….hey you take care of yourself too. We miss you around here so pop in when you get a chance.

  • Sheron // August 10, 2009 at 12:54 am

Thanks so much, y’all! Tonight was the visitation and rosary, tomorrow is the funeral (Monday).

I’d like to share her with y’all. If you care to, you can go to mem.com and type Introligator in the search. It will bring up Suzanne Teague Introligator. If you click on her name, it will take you to the pictures we chose to have displayed at the service. You will enjoy the Jackie Kennedy look, and other various hairdo’s popular in the day!

Dang, she was beautiful, and had the greatest smile! Luckily, I take after her! :)

How very very nice Sheron, Thank you!

  • Anonymous // August 10, 2009 at 7:53 am

Repent, Repent, I wonder what they meant when they
    said Repent, Repent.

Like a bird on a wire,
    when will I be free

  • Marinade Dave // August 10, 2009 at 8:48 am

Hello, Sheron – I went to mem.com. Your mother sure was perky. She looked like a very fun person to be with. 67 is much too young to go, but by those pictures, they were all years well spent. Again, I am sorry for you loss. Mothers are always supposed to be there, but you know? She still is. Today, she lives inside of you and one day you will be together again. Thank you for sharing your mother with us.

  • Marinade Dave // August 10, 2009 at 9:24 am

I don’t know, Anonymous. Have you sinned lately?

  • Newbie // August 10, 2009 at 12:46 pm

Sheron, I also went to mem.com. Wonderful pictures. Thank you again for sharing.

  • Anonymous // August 10, 2009 at 10:12 pm

Yes, I have, but I thought you liked Leonard Cohen and
I was watching him in concert. Wrong guy, I guess.

  • Marinade Dave // August 10, 2009 at 10:21 pm

Actually, I am listening to Leonard Cohen right now; The Partisan, followed by Suzanne, and finishing with So Long, Marianne. I’ve always liked him. He reminds me of my old hippie days.

  • Anonymous // August 10, 2009 at 10:44 pm

Oh, I loved it! That’s why I mentioned the songs.
Did you see him in concert, I was watching from 3am
to 5am, Up sometimes all night.

  • Marinade Dave // August 10, 2009 at 10:50 pm

No, I didn’t know he was on TV. I’ve never seen him live or on television.

  • Anonymous // August 10, 2009 at 10:58 pm

I don’t know if I will have any luck but will look into getting
a video copy, but I think you have to be a supporting member of KQED or something like that to purchase and
membership is quite expensive, so don’t hold your breath.
Quite an interesting man and performer. Very different
    to watch.

  • Marinade Dave // August 10, 2009 at 11:32 pm

Yes, I’ve always liked Leonard Cohen. I’ve watched several of his videos on YouTube. Gee, he’s getting older. what’s up with that?

Anyway, Anonymous, it’s way past my bedtime, so I will say good night to you.

  • snoopysleuth // August 10, 2009 at 11:38 pm

You never even said goodnight to me. Oh well..

  • Marinade Dave // August 10, 2009 at 11:43 pm

I’m sorry, detwill39, I would never, ever intend to ignore you. Good night.

  • Anonymous // August 12, 2009 at 11:28 am

Dave, Hope your mom’s MRI results are good news.
and her discomforts are much better, How is she today?

  • Marinade Dave // August 12, 2009 at 12:15 pm

Hi, Anonymous – She had the MRI this morning. Of course, the results won’t be back for a while. Her primary care physician now suspects that the arthritic pain is due to Lyme. She may have a pinched nerve in her neck, too, and I guess that’s what the MRI was for. She seems to be feeling better today. Thank you for asking and she told me to thank you for your concern. My mother is the sweetest lady.

  • Anonymous // August 12, 2009 at 1:44 pm

That’s why you are such a great man, she handled you
so well with her sweet loving care.
Does your mom read your posts and comments. If she
does, I am going to be very careful what I say to you :-)

  • Anonymous // August 12, 2009 at 1:47 pm

Dear Sharon; I too went to the site to veiw the photos of your dear Mom. She was a real beauty – very attractive with an infectious smile. I can see you have been left with things undone or not organized and that can be troubling and stressful. Some people just can’t face death and if they even try to plan for it, that means they have given up (in their mind’s eye only). Having said that, both my Dad and Step Mom before their demise, made sure every detail was in place, financially and otherwise. That helped a lot but the sting of losing them was still quite great, and everlasting. I hope you have come to a peaceful resolve that you chose to have her some place that could take care of her needs to the end. I believe you did the right thing and know that you were doing this for her, not for any selfish means. Sometimes as caretakers we just can’t cope with issues that become too sensitive or overtasking. None of us should feel bad about that!.

Sharon, I’m sure you will take the time to reflect on the good times you had, as that is what we are left with after one’s passing. The hope that the good times outshine the bad.

Take care, rest easy, God has her in his hands now.

  • Weezie10 // August 12, 2009 at 1:50 pm

Sharon, I forgot to sign in, sorry, that message above was from me.

  • Weezie10 // August 12, 2009 at 2:01 pm

Dave; I wasn’t aware that your Mom was having problems with her neck. That is too bad, but also great that the MRI should establish what is really going on. You are a great son, she is lucky to have you Dave.

I just finished reading upwards to find there was some commotion around your blog. I hope all is well now. I presume you would be referring to Ina as the instigator? I’m sorry it turned out to be a sour cherry. Oh well, you still have us -abowl full of gargoyles, or if you wish a vase full of spring fresh flowers. You know we would never do anything to disturb you , aaaaaaaah we are just too good for that! ” We stay in line, single file, indian style, facing traffic all the while”. God I remember singing that as a kid walking down a country road. Haven’t lost the old marbles yet.

    Take care.

  • Weezie10 // August 12, 2009 at 2:06 pm

gngrsnap: Thanks for the tip. I think it came a little late for my neigbhours. I was talking out the garbage this morning to hear that their dog was sprayed by a skunk last night. They were up all hours with the tomato juice btth. However, I did send your comment to them, just in case it happens again. I wonder if it is poisonous. I mean I have two kitties, Should I spray them if it happens? Maybe I should write the company that makes the stuff and find out. Boy that would be a great marketing ad for the future. YOu could do it as a comic strip ad with PEPI LA PUE as the main star. Not sure if you have heard of that cartoon character, but I loved him. thanks

  • Anonymous // August 12, 2009 at 3:46 pm

Time 1:44 is not the same anonymous as time 1:47 :-)

  • Weezie10 // August 12, 2009 at 4:05 pm

Anonymous: Thanks for making the differentiation between me and you! I don’t know why but I keep forgetting to put my user name and email before I enter a new subject. Usually I am always signed in, but lately I have been absent. You are a wiz kid on the Casey trail. Love your throughts.

  • snoopysleuth // August 12, 2009 at 4:48 pm

Hi Weezie~~Are you sweltering in the heat out your way? It was late coming. We have had one strange summer, mostly rain and below norm temps except for the past week.. It is not good Old Arthur weather.

    HELP ME:

I was wondering why DC was at the Brackenwood house? Is there a connection?

  • Marinade Dave // August 13, 2009 at 7:41 pm

Hi, Bambi – You should move over to the latest post (Real Time Video, etc.) because that’s where the action is and in the video, I went to that house. The only connection was very thin. At the time, the owner of the property had the same last name as Zenaida. That’s it. Law enforcement threw it out with the trash and found there was no basis for it. The house had nothing to do with Casey, Caylee or any of the Anthonys.

    Please, join us over there.

    MICHAEL JACKSON UPDATE:

    I thought so…….

  • Marinade Dave // August 13, 2009 at 10:02 pm

Drugs. Why am I not surprised?

  • Bambi Tuckey // August 14, 2009 at 12:41 am

Thanks, Dave. I must tell you that you are amazing at figuring out this case! :)

Now… there HAS to be a connection to the Brackenwood house! Why? Just because. LOL But seriously, everytime I watch that video of Dominic Casey there, it creeps me out in the way that it has to be connected! Do you think this statement of mine is evidence to prove it? Just kidding :) But I still keep thinking about it concerning Caylee…

  • Marinade Dave // August 14, 2009 at 8:04 am

Hi, Bambi. The only connection with the Brackenwood house is that Hoover/Casey went there. If they went to McDonald’s for lunch that day, I imagine there could be a connection with that place, too, plus what they ate. Casey had no reason to go there. Law enforcement found no connection and most likely. Casey didn’t even know the place existed. Thanks!

  • lulu // August 16, 2009 at 12:37 pm

Well, we did it. Bought a house in Florida. Plan on spending the winter there. It’s 90 minutes Southeast of Orlando so maybe Ill get down there to see some CA action.

  • Marinade Dave // August 16, 2009 at 2:22 pm

Congratulations, lulu! Welcome to the Sunshine State.

  • lulu // August 16, 2009 at 3:06 pm

Thanks, Dave. I’m happy about missing the next Michigan winter!

  • Marinade Dave // August 16, 2009 at 3:16 pm

We’ll have to meet someday, lulu. Are you going to be on the coast or inland?

  • lulu // August 16, 2009 at 7:53 pm

Homosassa Springs, Dave. I have an aunt there.
Are you familiar with it at all ?

  • Marinade Dave // August 16, 2009 at 7:59 pm

Yes and no, lulu. I’ve never been there but I know where it is, outside of Inverness.

  • lulu // August 16, 2009 at 8:15 pm

That’s the spot. We’ll have to do lunch.

  • Marinade Dave // August 16, 2009 at 9:20 pm

Yes, lulu, we most definitely have to do that.

  • Sheron // August 16, 2009 at 10:03 pm

Aw, y’all! Thanks for your nice words. It means a lot to me. I know mom is still with me – I talk to her everyday.

One troubling thing, though. I came to the blog tonight, and Dave has a post about stalkers. I haven’t followed enough recently to know what is up with that. I’m always a day late and a dollar short! LOL

I only comment on a handful of websites. Like I told y’all when I joined here, I belong to an Astros fan site. I have met lots of them in person and it’s been great.

I have never been an anonymous person. My name is indeed Sheron. I live in Houston. If you followed my direction to my mom’s memorial, you now know my last name.

I wanted to share my mom with people I felt very safe around. Now, I read a post about how dangerous it is to expose yourself.

I am left wondering, what the heck is up? Who got attacked personally?

And the big question – why in the world would people get attacked personally over big ding bat Casey?!!

Everything I’ve ever commented on here has been honest and heartfelt. Whether I am right or wrong. I am open to debate – that’s some good stuff. I am not open to anyone here being stalked or attacked personally for what they think.

I honestly do not know what provoked the Dave post about being stalked. Someone fill me in, please. And please tell me some crazy person isn’t stalking this blog. Where I put my real name.

  • Marinade Dave // August 16, 2009 at 10:15 pm

No one is stalking this blog, Sheron. I wrote it because people call each other names sometimes and aren’t always the most pleasant people to deal with. I just wanted to remind people we all have feelings. No big deal. Besides, you know there are other blogs where all they do is bash the Anthonys. That’s what I wrote about.

I’m sorry about your mother, but I’m glad you had the courage to discuss her and open yourself up to us. That was very generous and trusting.

I just want you to know you are a wonderful woman and human being. Always remember that and never forget we are here, Sheron.

  • Sheron // August 16, 2009 at 10:17 pm

OH! Anyone that wants to stalk me or my MD friends – I have an uncle in the FBI. He adores me, and checks out anybody that I ask him to.

I want to find out what he knows about the Caylee case! But, I would never ask him to breach his honor. I am sure he could find out stuff. It’s not important enough to me to ask family to do that.

Stalking or harming my friends here, though, I would ask.

  • laura // August 16, 2009 at 10:19 pm

Hey Detwill, you should never take two muscle relaxers at once they knock you out! I just woke up and I am going back to bed now because I am very sleepy!!! But hey my back don’t hurt can’t hold my head up but pain is gone. LOL Night everyone.

  • Marinade Dave // August 16, 2009 at 10:27 pm

Good night, Laura. I hope you are better tomorrow.

  • snoopysleuth // August 16, 2009 at 10:28 pm

laura~~one pill was enough. What were they 10mg or 14mg? Now that your back feels better, baby it or you will do more damage. Do not take more than one pill unless your doctor orders two. You relax your heart muscle too much and it stops beating hon.

  • laura // August 16, 2009 at 10:33 pm

Lesson learned. My heart is beating but my eyes are tired. They are 10mg. I weigh like 125 and when it comes to medicine I am a light weight. I thought 2 would be better to speed up the relief. My daughter is going to check on me tonight just because she knows my back was hurting that way if I need anything. My doctor ordered 1 every 6 to 8 hours. Oh well back doesn’t hurt, I will see you both tomorrow…..

  • Marinade Dave // August 16, 2009 at 10:40 pm

I can’t wait until then, Laura. I hope you sleep comfortably tonight.

  • Sheron // August 16, 2009 at 11:40 pm

Oh, OK, Dave. I read stalking. If that’s not the case, cool!

Simple solution – do not read other blogs. Then you will not know about attacks!! :) That’s my motto. Heck, I could have been roasted on other blogs about what I think – don’t care.

The only blogs I read are yours, Itsamysterytome, Niecey, and Detwill’s new one. They always make sense.

  • laura // August 17, 2009 at 10:33 am

Dave I will give you a call in the morning around 9 if that is okay. You can delete this comment after you reply if you want. I don’t want anyone to think it is about them. Just calling to discuss the case…… :)

  • Marinade Dave // August 17, 2009 at 10:46 am

Good morning, Laura. I am assuming you mean 9 tomorrow morning since it is now 10:42. Yes, I would like that. I’m glad you are feeling better today.

I’m not going to discuss the transaction between detwill39 and Anonymous. I read things a little bit differently and I won’t go through it again because I am not going to take sides. I would just hope that it has settled down and Anonymous decides to continue with her input. The same thing with Muesli. She knew coming in that I don’t allow personal trashing. Why tempt me? Then, I react and I’m the dummy. Forget it.

  • laura // August 17, 2009 at 11:04 am

Yes tomorrow. I agree about the confusion between the two and I would like to think I look at things a little differently also and I still think it was a little mis-leading. I hope she comes back and they work it out. Maybe you could be the go between and work it out.

  • snoopysleuth // August 17, 2009 at 11:20 am

Dave~~I am not going to apologize for calling Anon on her continuous remarks made everytime I posted some info. Neither you, nor Laura, have to take sides. Until some pert info comes along, I am stepping aside so that should resolve the situation. As far as being over sensitive, maybe I am and I will deal with it in my own way. Until then….

  • Marinade Dave // August 17, 2009 at 11:26 am

Tomorrow then. Agreed. I’ll be holding my breath in anticipation, all showered and fresh. Yes, I’d love to be the go-between. Anonymous never said anything bad to me and she offered a lot of good, strong advice and foresight.

  • Marinade Dave // August 17, 2009 at 11:36 am

Detwill39 – no one asked you to apologize and no one is taking sides, but you see what’s happening here? A rift develops between 2 people and the rest of the blog is caught up in it. I don’t want that to happen and you don’t either. Let’s just drop it. It wasn’t some sort of earth shattering revelation. It wasn’t worth burning bridges over. It’s not worth getting overly upset over. There is no need to step aside and there is nothing to resolve other than everyone trying to get along.

My God, everything turns on a dime here. We go from being close friends to near enemies in a second flat. What’s up with that? Over what?

  • snoopysleuth // August 17, 2009 at 11:52 am

Dave~~I take this whole case very seriously as you well know. I am going to wait until we get some info on this case before I start to comment again. I do not belong to some clique and never have. I am not going to waste my time in discussing who is a bashing whom as it is fruitless and there is never ever an end in sight.
Other than a bit of joking around, my intent to remain in this blog was for one reason and that was to to really analyze this case and look up info to inform other commenters and share that info in an adult manner.

  • Marinade Dave // August 17, 2009 at 12:04 pm

Detwill39, I take this case quite seriously and no one holds the license to that title. You, of all people, should understand the rule that we wake up the next day with a clean slate. As for a clique, don’t take that so personally. You know full well that there are regulars here, people you like to converse with regarding the case and other matters. That’s the way it works in life. That’s why people have neighborhood block parties. People from the other side of town don’t just show up, although they should bring a covered dish if they do.

Please don’t get your nose bent out of joint. No one is personally attacking you. no one is blaming you for anything. Don’t get so defensive. You know how much of an integral part you are on this blog. Yes, you have your own now, but you don’t need to leave at the first sign of trouble. Why would you do that?

WHAT SIDE OF THE BED DID WE ALL GET UP ON THIS MORNING? AAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHH!!!

  • laura // August 17, 2009 at 8:13 pm

Dave I hope you know I did not dish anything out today. I spoke the truth about you and all of our friends here. I have to say I hope tomorrow is a better day here. I feel like our friendship is taken out of context and it is made ugly. I don’t feel that way it is just how I take it. I like being friends with you and the regulars but being insulted because people pop in to slam you and include us is not fair to us.

  • Marinade Dave // August 17, 2009 at 8:15 pm

Well then, I will put an end to it.

  • Newbie // August 17, 2009 at 8:20 pm

Laura, I think we should have talked about a double-butted duck.

  • laura // August 17, 2009 at 8:27 pm

Newbie I agree. Gosh every time someone said something and my stupid butt tries to defend us I got slammed again and again. I feel like I am at high school scratch that junior high. Now about that double butted duck, does it quack right?

  • laura // August 17, 2009 at 8:31 pm

Dave what are you ending? The fussing our friendship????? You left that wide open for confusion!

  • Marinade Dave // August 17, 2009 at 8:33 pm

I don’t want to discuss any more of this on the blog tonight. That is what I am ending.

  • laura // August 17, 2009 at 8:36 pm

Oh very good. Talk to you tomorrow.

  • Marinade Dave // August 17, 2009 at 8:38 pm

    OK.

  • Newbie // August 17, 2009 at 8:40 pm

Laura, the double butted duck must be caught before anything else can happen. Believe me, these ducks are fast. By the time you wear yourself out trying to catch one, you won’t really care much about anything !!!

  • Newbie // August 17, 2009 at 8:43 pm

Oh, the double butted duck “quacks up”.

  • laura // August 17, 2009 at 8:51 pm

LOL newbie. You made me smile, thank you!!!

  • Newbie // August 17, 2009 at 9:02 pm

Your welcome. I am calling it a night. I’ve chased that damn duck too long.

  • laura // August 17, 2009 at 9:10 pm

    good night.

  • Sheron // August 17, 2009 at 9:48 pm

Newbie – you just freaking crack me up! I read about your video on Dave’s post and laughed out loud!! You are crazy, in a good way!

Detwill – you ain’t going nowhere, lady. It’s funny, I came here after reading the incredibly long comments on Dave’s last post. That took a loooong time! LOL There is no clique. You know that. You also know that many read the comments on Dave’s posts, looking for your comments specifically. I’m not blowing smoke up your you-know. You are a great snoopy snoop. The stuff you have provided has been jaw dropping from the start.

And Laura always provides a genuine heart about the case.

It’s not a clique. It’s people who have gotten to know each other, and respect each other and their opinions.

  • Sheron // August 17, 2009 at 9:53 pm

Actually, upon a moment of reflection – this blog is absolutely NOT a clique.

From my memory of high school days – a clique is a group of people who PRETEND to agree with one another, so as not to be “different.”

People on this site have no problem disagreeing with each other about this case.

  • Newbie // August 17, 2009 at 11:04 pm

Sheron, the highest compliment for me is when someone says I’m crazy….in a good way. I just must keep my reputation going….even after death.
You hit the nail on the head in your statements regarding a clique….we certainly are not a part of such……thank God.

  • laura // August 18, 2009 at 8:24 am

Sheron that was so well put by you. That is exactly how I felt but jeez you try to put it in words and you get attacked. I know the people I talk to here everyday and it just amazes me people I have never seen in here before come in attack not only us but Dave, we are friends nothing less in here. Thanks for the wonderful comment, I try really hard to be kind and loving all the time. I am glad you are back, how is the job search?

  • lulu // August 18, 2009 at 11:07 pm

Is Snoop coming back? She does such great research. SNOOP, COME BACK!

  • Sheron // August 19, 2009 at 12:48 am

No doubt we need our Snoop!

Um, job search is me thinking about opening my own company. Scary stuff!! But, my mom did it, and I’m thinking about it. A tribute, of sorts.

I’ve been saying for years – if I ever owned a company, I would want an employee just like me! LOL I am the best employee ever. So maybe I should work for myself. My own accounting service company. I already have 2 clients.

It’s scary to talk about – I don’t know. It makes my stomach have butterflies to talk about it.

  • Newbie // August 19, 2009 at 2:14 am

Sheron, what would it cost you if you tried your own business, decided you didn’t like it and moved on from there? No harm no foul?

Yes, SNOOPY GET BACK HERE, p.l.e.a.s.e……

  • Sheron // August 19, 2009 at 2:30 am

Newbie – Yes, where the heck is Snoopy!!? I’d kind of like her input on whether I should persue my own business or not. She’s a smart lady.

Right now, it would not cost me anything to start up. I would not file a DBA unless I get more clients. In Houston right now, companies are looking for part time bookkeepers.

I don’t know what to do! I am confused and praying .

  • Newbie // August 19, 2009 at 2:49 am

I think she is taking a break….a short break…..SNOOPY, you hear me……a short break !!
    She’s sleeping.

  • laura // August 19, 2009 at 8:49 am

Sheron, I think you should give it a try. What is the worst that could happen? Jobs are hard to come by. You can make your own schedule. I think you would be great at it. You are the best employee for job!! Newbie sometimes you have to yell really loud to get her, try this SSSNNNNOOOOOPPPPPPYYYYYYY! You are needed, come back now. Please come play in the sand-box with the rest of us children!

  • snoopysleuth // August 19, 2009 at 11:41 am

Ladies I am back, the rough seas are calming as I type… everything will be fine… will bbl

  • snoopysleuth // August 19, 2009 at 5:31 pm

Sheron~~I am a retired accountant/income tax consultant and was in business for myself but had outside employment , as an accountant, at the same time. Once I built up a good size clientelle, I quit being an employee and became totally self-employed working from home.

It can be a risky venture when you are totally self-employed, for the first year. You wouldn’t have to invest much capital to start out. Do you plan on working from home or renting office space? You mentioned that you are a bookkeeper or accountant so you would be familar with all the things you can write off. You will have to decide if you want to form a company and will you be hiring on any staff.

While I was in business, I did not go out and buy a yacht or vacation in Hawaii. Thank God, I had other income to carry me thru the slow times.

  • snoopysleuth // August 21, 2009 at 9:00 pm

    Dave~~tech talk…

My Norton Anti-virus is history. I now have Avira Antivir Personal and it is free and out of the UK. I ran Malwarebytes before the tech came and found 4 infections in the Registry Key.
They are now gone. The tech ran Spyhunter which he had with him and left the program for me. He said I should run that once in awhile.

He also cleaned my tower. I wont tell you how much lint was in it. One of the fans was plugged.
He thinks Norton and a trojan cause my problem. I put it down to dirt and overheating, even though my puters temp was 40 deg celcius. That sounded kinda hot to me and he said it was a good temp.
Anyway, he smiled, called me honey and got $120.

  • Marinade Dave // August 21, 2009 at 9:20 pm

What is $120 in Yankee dollars? About the same? Either way, they’re going to get you for a hundred bucks as soon as they park in front of your house. None of those programs I am familiar with, but lets say the Spyhunter is worth $40 new. He’s giving you a free copy, which is really pirating it and it leads me to think that it’s probably shareware, so the price is suggested, like a donation. OK, let’s cut it in half. There’s your $120. Did he give you a good deal? Not really, but he didn’t rip you off, either, and the main thing is, did he fix your computer? Along with that $120, he’ll come back for free to fix it if he’s wrong. Let’s hope so, anyway.

  • snoopysleuth // August 21, 2009 at 9:29 pm

Dave~~he was here just a little under 3 hrs. When he was cleaning the tower, he couldn’t get it up and running, a mistake on his part. Yes, he gave me a real good deal. He just started up his own business a couple of yrs ago. Of course, I let him know that I was in the market for a new puter and he builds them. I am sneaky but I honestly think he gave me a break because I entertained him with all my knowledge of puter while he was here. LOL

  • snoopysleuth // August 21, 2009 at 9:30 pm

Oops Dave~~~things are working fine thus far. Maybe I should have whispered that.

  • Marinade Dave // August 21, 2009 at 9:39 pm

As long as you think you got a good deal, then you did. 3 hours? $40/hour? That’s not bad, especially if you figure in his round trip drive time, which probably adds another hour. That’s 4 hours and it brings the price down to $30/hour. That’s a really good deal this day and age for a tech like that.

  • snoopysleuth // August 21, 2009 at 9:51 pm

Dave~~the tech charged $80 for the house call. One tech charged me $178, a few years ago. It took him approx 15-20 minutes to fix the problem. Some folks take advantage of certain folks, if you know what I mean.

  • Marinade Dave // August 21, 2009 at 9:53 pm

So, he charged you $40 for the software?

  • snoopysleuth // August 21, 2009 at 10:36 pm

Dave~~I meant he charged $80 for the first hour, $40 for the next hour and gave me the software for free. The extra time, approx 40 mins was due to his error and I was not charged for that. One hour or less costs $80 and that is considered a housecall. Travel distance was about 15 miles one way.

  • Sheron // August 21, 2009 at 11:00 pm

The techs got rid of my Norton, too, when I had the blue screen.

OK, now Detwill – you asked about doing the books from my home or renting office space. The two clients I have so far (my brother and my dad) both have Quick Books set up at their places, and I go there to do it.

I am thinking there must be lots of other small business owners who bought a computer and software, thought they could do it, and are now ignoring their bookkeeping to do the thing that makes their company. They don’t need a full-time employee. They don’t even need a 20 hour employee. They just need someone that knows what they are doing to come in 1 – 4 times a month and take care of the thing they HATE! LOL

I went on a job interview yesterday, though. It’s 10 minutes from the house, and I got a pretty good vibe about it. He told me he’d be getting in touch for a 2nd interview.

So, I am thinking, if I am hired there, I will do that full-time, take care of my brother’s and dad’s book on weekends, and see where it goes. Like you say – work full-time for the income and build up what I can on the side. See what happens.

    OR

He doesn’t hire me, and I am so sick of looking for a job, I contact some CPA’s I know and go full force on working for myself.

    That’s where I’m at.

  • snoopysleuth // August 21, 2009 at 11:31 pm

Sheron~~it is funny, the tech who fixed my puter today told me that he has been doing his own books and has had enough. It is hard to run a business and try to do the books yourself. It is easy for the owner to spend more money than he makes.

I used to prepare a monthly financial statement and balance sheet for my clients and advise them when things were going up or down.

The money making time is in Income Tax preparation. Just set your price a tad below H&R and advertise everywhere. If I kept book, I also prepared the taxes. I took a 5-month course and then a refresher course when new tax laws came out. H&R, here, take a 9 day course and most are retired military. You cannot learn to do taxes in 9 days, not if you want to give folks every benefit available.

I used to bad mouth H&R at every opportunity and most of it was true.

One old bookkeeper was getting a bit forgetful. Every morning, he would go into his office and open the right drawer on his desk and close it and then do the same to the left one. Eventually he passed away and when they cleaned out his desk, they opened the drawers, in big bold letters, written on sheets of paper, was Credits on the right, and Debits on the left.

  • snoopysleuth // August 22, 2009 at 12:15 am

Dave~~I missed your goodnight over yonder so will say goodnight and goodmorning. I plan on sleeping in tomorrow. We may have a sleepless nite here, when Bill shows, so am gonna store up some zzzzz’s.
Right now, Bill is a category 2, projected path, straight to Halifax.

  • Marinade Dave // August 22, 2009 at 9:27 am

Sheron – Have you thought about placing an ad (free!) on craigslist?

  • Marinade Dave // August 22, 2009 at 9:28 am

I’m keeping an eye on Bill, Snoopy.

  • snoopysleuth // August 22, 2009 at 1:25 pm

Dave~~well you can say I am trying to batten down the hatches. Everything that can be wind borne is put away. I have water, transistor radio, batterpack at full charge, flashlight and I even have a light to wear on my head like a miner. My kitchen range is propane gas so I dont need power to use that. Bill is going to start around 1am and carry thru the night, the worst being tomorrow morning and thru the day. Where I live is in the red zone and Bill is still a 2. It is scorching hot here and windy. I will keep in touch.

  • Marinade Dave // August 22, 2009 at 1:53 pm

Please do keep in touch, Snoopy. Now I’m starting to worry about you a little bit. I just read that Bill should “skirt” Nova Scotia.

http://www.weather.com/newscenter/hurricanecentral/2009/bill.html says, “Hurricane Bill will rapidly skirt past Nova Scotia later Sunday, and then move northeast out into the North Atlantic.”

  • Weezie10 // August 22, 2009 at 2:27 pm

snoopysleuth: A quick hello out there and wishes that Bill will retreat before she sees your home. This is the craziest weather I have ever seen. Imagine 3 Tornadoes in Toronto. Totally unheard of.
It’s good you are battening down the hatches, you sound prepared, and lucky for you that you have a gas stove. That will make all the difference. How about your water supply? I guess you have that one covered too. Good luck Snoopy I will be watching the weather channel to be updated. God these things called Mother Nature can cast a scary spell.

  • snoopysleuth // August 22, 2009 at 2:34 pm

Weezie~~thanks for your concern. Bobbie, my daughter who lives in Oakville called me the other night just as she, hubby and doggie were heading for the basement. She said the weather is nuts up there too. The little 11yr old boy was killed when he took refuge in an outside shed. I believe that was in Vaughn (sp)…

If we lose the power and that is almost a sure thing, I have no water but have lots of bottled water and extra for flushing.

Here is the latest at Enviroment Canada…our local forecast…the tv screen is all in red..

    http://www.weatheroffice.gc.ca/warnings/warnings_e.html

  • snoopysleuth // August 22, 2009 at 3:24 pm

Dave~~thanks for the link and your concern. Are you busy writing today? I hope you are feeling okay.

  • lulu // August 25, 2009 at 7:21 pm

Oh Lord, I am so depressed. Watching a trial on court tv about the 22 year old woman who was abducted, raped and murdered in Sarasota. She screamed and attracted the attention of other motorists who called 911. She got ahold of his cell phone and called 911. She was still alive when a third party loaned this guy a shovel etc. even though he saw this woman in the car. Just unbelievable. She had a husband and 2 little kids.

  • laura // August 25, 2009 at 9:04 pm

lulu, I have seen that. I think her dad was in le. It was horrible!

  • Anonymous // August 26, 2009 at 1:34 pm

Dave I hope you are feeling better now.

  • Sheron // August 29, 2009 at 11:35 pm

Detwill, the debit and credit drawers story made me laugh!! Bookkeepers are such odd people! LOL By the way, I think the word bookkeeper is the ONLY word in the English dictionary with three double letters in a row. I love replying to ads for a Bookeeper. Is that a ghost keeper?! Yeah, I wanna work for them.

I see from one of Dave’s posts, he had a birthday! Happy Birthday Dave! Hope it was great!

I am on craigslist everyday. Great jobs listed, reply to lots of them. Get no feedback. One guy was looking for a personal bookkeeper to come to his home. I didn’t respond to that one. You have to be careful on craigslist. Have had the same e-mail for 10 years. NEVER got spam. Now that I am looking for a job, I get 50 spams a day. Gotta love the internet.

Personally – I would not put an ad there if I was looking for a top notch employee. So, I take the ads there with a grain of salt.

  • Sheron // August 30, 2009 at 12:04 am

Oh, and a funny story about craigslist.

I read an ad for a full charge bookkeeper – do all the A/P, A/R, Payroll, G/L, Taxes, EVERYTHING! For $13.00/hour.

I could not resist. I sent an e-mail telling them good luck. Now, when you are serious about your bookkeeping, call me, and expect to pay $25.00/hour. You get what you pay for.

Have fun with the $13.00/hour person and see how much havock can be reeked. The IRS will be fun to answer to.

Stupid, stupid business owners that don’t grasp how important the accounting part of the business is to their survival.

  • snoopysleuth // August 30, 2009 at 1:27 pm

Sheron~~$25/hr is very reasonable and alot less than some CA’s charge. They are right up there with lawyer fees. Good luck in your search.

  • Laura // August 30, 2009 at 2:13 pm

Snoopy~~ glad you made it through another storm. I will check in later stay safe!

  • Laura // September 1, 2009 at 9:52 pm

Dave here you go! I found it quick…. Let me know what you think after you read it. JH interviewed by OCSO. Important points: Last time he saw KC was in July. She was with BSn, SD and some other people at Waterford Lakes Ale House. JH confirms that he does not have a son named Zachary, nor does he have any children in his family named Zachary. He states he did work at Universal but left in 2002. JH states he never worked with KC at Universal. (KC started working at Universal after he left.) Actually only barely knew KC through LA. Never interacted with her when he worked at Universal. Didn’t really know her in high school, other than to know who she was.
LE requests copy of 911 call JG says he made when he thought KC was having a seizure on November 18, 2007.

  • Laura // September 1, 2009 at 10:09 pm

http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread431159/pg2 It is a little way down, not far if you want to read the interview. I just copied the gist of it.

  • Marica // September 2, 2009 at 7:12 am

Click Dave… You really disappoint me. Calling Lyons fat! What is up with that? Fat and FUGLY are two different issues here. Fat doesn’t necessarily make a person fugly.

  • Marinade Dave // September 2, 2009 at 8:09 am

Clearly, Marica, that was intended to point out the idiots who base their opinions on looks. What does anyone’s looks have to do with their qualifications?

  • Beatrice // September 2, 2009 at 12:01 pm

Marica, I believe you may have totally misunderstood how
    that was written and intended.

  • Marica // September 2, 2009 at 5:30 pm

    Obviously I was wrong.

  • Marinade Dave // September 2, 2009 at 5:49 pm

That’s OK, Marica. No harm, no foul. In the article, I merely wanted to point out the absurdity of basing a person’s credentials on how they look. Take the late actor Walter Brennan for example. He always played a sidekick or just a regular joe in suspenders or jeans. In real life, he was one of Hollywood’s most intellectual people and was quite respected.

  • Laura // September 2, 2009 at 6:31 pm

Hi Beatrice! I am sure I completely missed you and you may not see this but I have missed you! Have you solved this case for me yet? I need all the answers you got! lol GOOD TO SEE YOU!

  • lulu // September 3, 2009 at 10:40 am

    Sorry Dave, I misunderstood too.

  • Sheron // September 7, 2009 at 10:26 pm

Well, I was all set to start my own bookkeeping service – so, of course – I got a job! LOL

I start a week from today. :) I am most grateful and actually very excited about this company. I get to wear jeans to work! YAY! It’s a very trafficy drive to downtown, so not being in hose, a dress, and high heels will make that much more pleasant.

Thanks all for your support during this jobless period!! I can’t believe it took me this long (3 months.)

I’m shelving my own company for now – but not forever.

This job is the highest level I have come into a company at – so I feel great about that. I will dazzle them!

  • Julie // September 8, 2009 at 1:34 pm

Hi. I have a few computer questions, related to last night’s posts.

First, Dancehappy mentioned the Windows Security Alerts pop-ups. I have gotten 2 or 3 of those so far last week, but none since then,
does that mean I have a virus, or just that I was trying to be tricked into clicking on the pop up box, which I didn’t.

  • Julie // September 8, 2009 at 1:37 pm

Also, I did 2 different full system scans & came up clean.

  • Julie // September 8, 2009 at 1:39 pm

Also, the websites that I visit, all come up as green-safe.

  • snoopysleuth // September 8, 2009 at 1:44 pm

Julie~~I would not click on those pop-up security alert. Once you do, they will tell you that you have oodles of trojans etc.

Do you have virus protection on your puter and keep it updated? Some update automatically.
It is good to do a full scan once in awhile. There is a free program, Malwarebytes that you may want to download and run. It is a great little program. My puter tech suggested it to me.

  • Julie // September 8, 2009 at 2:09 pm

Snoopy-thanks for answering. Sorry, I had to step away, it never fails, I put in a post, and things here start happening, door, phone, etc.

I do have anti-virus & anti-spyware, and I try to do daily updates, they also are set to update automatically.

So, does it sound like I am okay?

Do you have the link for the free program I can use?

  • snoopysleuth // September 8, 2009 at 2:48 pm

Julie~~go here and download the free one. You can run the program and it will tell you if you have any trojans etc and fix them. Just follow the directions. Good luck.

    http://shop.malwarebytes.org/lpa/342/1/7268/en/index.html?_kk=malwarebytes&_kt=fda7ec7e-8582-4c8a-8f8d-5f1d139b5c5d&gclid=CKSB6obW4pwCFSBN5QodhBz7Ig

  • Julie // September 8, 2009 at 3:02 pm

TY Snoopy-I will try it later, because I have open windows right now, that I can’t close up just yet.

I will let you know how it goes.

I assume you use this too, and that you are happy with them?

  • snoopysleuth // September 8, 2009 at 3:09 pm

Julie~~I have used it and it is a great little program.

  • Coreysmom // September 8, 2009 at 3:19 pm

Julie, in case you didn’t see my comment about pop-up ads don’t even click on the “skip this ad” thing when they come up full page on web sites. Just close out that window. For some reason they make it past the pop-up blocker. These are ads that could carry a Trojan and I think that is how folks got that virus over at TCD.
And, I have Malwarebytes and a happy with it. I also get Sophos updates. Just google Sophos and you will get there.

  • Julie // September 8, 2009 at 3:35 pm

Hi CMom-I did see your comments too…..that’s another reason why I was questioning what Dancehappy posted, I’m still learning all of this, because I have clicked on those “skip this ad” options.

I’m not sure who got viruses & where they originated from, I saw someone else at TCD blaming a different website, another one which I show as safe.

I’m just trying to sort all of this out & will do the link that Snoopy left later. :D

  • Julie // September 8, 2009 at 3:39 pm

CMom-Also, just for the record, I’m not placing blame anywhere, I’m just confused & saw that the topic came up & figured I would jump on it.

  • snoopysleuth // September 8, 2009 at 4:03 pm

Julie~~When those ads come up, like CMom said, X out the window. Do not click on anything even if it says, do you want to cancel or skip this offer.

  • Julie // September 8, 2009 at 5:01 pm

Thank you CMom & Snoopy, very very much, I really appreciate the advice.

  • Coreysmom // September 8, 2009 at 6:15 pm

    Your welcome, Julie!
I’m not placing blame on Express or the Caylee Daily because I don’t believe either one are resposible for the viruses. Its the ads and they are popping up at other sites as well. Its usually ads on sites that have the high possibility of viruses.

  • Julie // September 8, 2009 at 7:05 pm

CMom-I don’t think she is either. (I didn’t mean that you were placing blame, I was just cma’ing). :D

  • Coreysmom // September 8, 2009 at 7:15 pm

LOL! So was I. I could feel a draft in the rear area.
CMAing…love the new catch phrase! Bless eva for that one!

  • Julie // September 8, 2009 at 7:30 pm

    CMom-bbbrrrr!! lol

    Fitzy’s granddaughter is in labor.

  • Marinade Dave // September 8, 2009 at 10:24 pm

Sheron – I knew there was a comment in here from you, but I will never just up and forget you or anyone else. I hope you get the chance to come in tonight and read my congratulations to you. I am so happy for you and I wish you nothing but complete success. At least you have a week to go, so please stop by. Good luck, my friend!

  • snoopysleuth // September 8, 2009 at 10:31 pm

Sheron~~I second everything Dave just said.

Remember that the Credits go on the right! Congrats my friend…Happy Accounting!

  • Julie // September 9, 2009 at 12:01 am

Snoopy or CMom- I got half way through the above link from Snoopy, and realized I have one more dumb question. By doing this free download, it won’t interfere with my current security programs or change them in any way, right? Sorry, I know it’s probably a very dumb question. I’m not obligating myself to buy anything in the future either, right? Boy, I feel dumb submitting this.

  • Julie // September 9, 2009 at 12:07 am

My husband knows even less about computers …there, now all of a sudden, I feel smart again.

  • Coreysmom // September 9, 2009 at 12:20 am

Hi, Julie! Yer no dummy!

I didn’t have to do anything and, no, there is no buying of anything. It did not interfere with my MacAfee and I had no problems with my Vista Home though I can’t remember if I had to go to a certain download for it. Vista is different than Windows and Windows XP so when I download programs I have to use a certain one if available. You may have to disengage your firewall. May is the keyword because I haven’t had to disengage it for any downloads yet. If your security system won’t let it through it is because you are downloading a duplicate system, i.e., you already have a malware system in your comp. But I doubt you will have that problem unless you downloaded one before.
BTW, 2shado was the one who gave me the link way back when I first got this Vista comp.

  • Julie // September 9, 2009 at 12:29 am

Thanks CMom, so I shouldn’t be concerned that I have to agree to the terms of that big long contract?

  • Coreysmom // September 9, 2009 at 12:41 am

Naw! That comes with every download. It just says you can’t do anything illegal with the program and that they are not responsible for any damages that could incur while downloading it-which rarely happens, if ever. Its a CMA contract.

Say, I see pandalady is gonna be a grandma in February! I hope the banner at TCD is used as soon as fitzy’s greatgrandson is born! She’s too young! LOL!

  • Julie // September 9, 2009 at 12:42 am

    Wait, CMom, don’t leave.

  • Julie // September 9, 2009 at 12:45 am

I hope Dave doesn’t get mad that I’m using up so much space on this.

Now when I try to run the program, I get an IE Security Warning that says the Publisher cannot be verified with a great big red x emblem on it.

    I hate computers!

  • Julie // September 9, 2009 at 12:47 am

TCD & the banner are undergoing maintenance til about 9am.

  • Julie // September 9, 2009 at 12:49 am

Of course, now TCD is working, after that last post I put. It was a blank screen before.

  • Coreysmom // September 9, 2009 at 12:50 am

Okay, that happens alot if not every time I go to download something. Do you have WOT-Web of Trust? If so, check what there is to say about the site. If there is no complaints that concern you then go ahead and download it. Its up to you.

  • Julie // September 9, 2009 at 12:52 am

No, I don’t have Web of Trust.

  • Julie // September 9, 2009 at 12:57 am

I checked on Norton, and on page 1, there are 3 reds listed, but I don’t think they’re related to this one. ????

  • Coreysmom // September 9, 2009 at 1:00 am

Hold on, I’ll be back in a minute…

  • Coreysmom // September 9, 2009 at 1:11 am

Okay, WOT gives it 4 out 5 “stars”(people figures) for trustworthiness, vendor reliability, privacy and child safety. That is super good! There are no complaint comments. So, now it is up to you!

  • snoopysleuth // September 9, 2009 at 1:15 am

Here is the exact place I downloaded my Malwarebytes. I downloaded the free copy.

    http://www.malwarebytes.org/

  • Julie // September 9, 2009 at 1:16 am

Thanks for checking…..I don’t know now, that red x from IE bothers me.

Can you go into the link & follow the steps up to that point & see what I mean?

    If not, that’s fine too.

  • Coreysmom // September 9, 2009 at 1:16 am

I’m not familiar with Norton’s system, Julie.

  • Julie // September 9, 2009 at 1:19 am

Snoopy, that one’s got a green, I’ll try it.

    Thanks.

  • snoopysleuth // September 9, 2009 at 1:19 am

My puter tech gave me that site . He also uninstalled my Norton anti-virus which he said was causing alot of problems. He installed a free program called Avira. It is out of the UK and works great and updates automatically.

Julie, tell me what it says in the 3 reds..

  • Julie // September 9, 2009 at 1:21 am

It says 5 computer threats & 28 identity threats, but the website has a different name in it.

  • Coreysmom // September 9, 2009 at 1:23 am

Use Snoopy’s link. If you get the security warning it is only because the author of the download is unknown. WOT showed that, too. That doesn’t mean its bad for the comp. I have downloaded lots of programs despite that warning. IIRC, WOT was one of them.

  • snoopysleuth // September 9, 2009 at 1:24 am

Julie, are you having problems with your computer? Why do you feel you have to run the Malwarebyte program?

If it aint broke, don’t try and fix it.

BTW, alot of people are getting rid of Norton. It is too invasive. There are free anti-virus program for download on the internet. Dave has one called AVG and swears by it.

You need a tech to uninstall Norton because they have a special uninstaller. Don’t ever try and uninstall it yourself if you decide to get rid of it.

  • snoopysleuth // September 9, 2009 at 1:26 am

Julie~~does it say what risk they are low, med or high? Do they mention tracking cookies?

  • Julie // September 9, 2009 at 1:31 am

These reds have multiple security risks. – high

I guess my original concern was that I was getting those fake IE pop-ups saying I needed to do a free scan, which I didn’t, but I wasn’t ssure if those would cause the virus, or those are a result of having one.

  • Coreysmom // September 9, 2009 at 1:33 am

Thanks for the heads up on Norton! When MacAfee runs out for me I will have to give AVG a try. I, too, will have to get rid of MacAfee through a techie.
Good night, friends! I have my big day tomorrow!
Hubby will be my slave for the day! Oooh! I’m so excited! He’s not gonna wanna take a day off again for a long while after I’m through with him!

  • snoopysleuth // September 9, 2009 at 1:35 am

Julie~~if you have Norton and got a trojan or virus, Norton would put it in quarntine. Do not pay attention to those pop-ups. They are just trying to scare you into buying something. The malwarebytes is not harmful. You probably dont have an infected computer. Do you have any friends that are computer savvy to look at it for you?

  • Julie // September 9, 2009 at 1:38 am

That’s what I thought, that everything was fine with mine. So, I should just skip the free download?

No, friends are not computer savvy.

You guys are much more knowledgable.

    Goodnight CMom.

  • snoopysleuth // September 9, 2009 at 1:39 am

    Coreysmom~~is it your birthday tomorrow?

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY….

I gotta scoot to bed, should have been there a couple hours ago…

Julie~~just shut down and have someone look at your puter. You are probably okay.

    nite nite

  • Julie // September 9, 2009 at 1:41 am

Snoopy-thanks for your help, sorry to take up so much time.

CMom-Happy Birthday & thanks for all your help too.

  • Coreysmom // September 9, 2009 at 1:41 am

I think those would cause the virus if you click on them. What Windows do you have? Upgrading your Windows will also help in the security department from Microsoft. I upgraded to IE8 and those pesky pop-ups have stopped. To upgrade go to the Microsoft site that came with your comp.
    Okay, good night!

  • Julie // September 9, 2009 at 1:43 am

I still have IE7, I heard bad things, don’t remember what, about IE8.

  • snoopysleuth // September 9, 2009 at 1:43 am

Julie you can download the malwarebytes anytime and run it. It would never hurt and does not interfere with Norton. nite nite again…

  • Julie // September 9, 2009 at 1:45 am

Nite nite Snoopy, & thanks again.

  • Coreysmom // September 9, 2009 at 1:45 am

Thanks, Jules! Now, as 2shado would say, zzzzz…..

  • Julie // September 9, 2009 at 1:47 am

    Nite nite CMom, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • Julie // September 9, 2009 at 1:50 am

I’m just wondering if this works here.

    8) uh-huh

    Julie:

Try this website. I have this installed in my computer. Works wonderfully and it will likely uninstall the garbage too. Good luck.

  • Julie // September 9, 2009 at 9:18 am

Louise & Weezie – thanks…I’m going to be the most protected computer in town, lol.

Dave, sorry I used up so much space on this topic. Didn’t mean to.

  • Coreysmom // September 9, 2009 at 10:51 am

Jules, relax! You’re on Open Forum!
The only complaint about IE8 I’ve heard was that its slower than IE7. I have dial-up so its slow anyways. I haven’t noticed a difference. IE8 corrects security issues with IE7 so you can’t go wrong in downloading it. Like I said, those pesky pop-ups from Windows have stopped for me since downloading it.
    Have a great day, friend!
(for my birthday I want the judge to rule that G & C must answer all of the questions in the depo-feeling mean and sassy today!)

  • Laura // September 9, 2009 at 11:25 am

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY COREYSMOM!!!

  • Coreysmom // September 9, 2009 at 12:43 pm

    Thanks, Laura!

My hubby is kicking against the goads! He doesn’t want to do as I tell him. Had to threaten to spend $200 on clothes if he didn’t do as I say. Poor guy. A previous owner to our home caulked in the storm wiindows and they are hard to pry off. But! I want clean windows inside and out! It is also requiring the taking down of the window boxes which have rusty bolts holding them up. I may get that $200 yet. Heehee…

  • Coreysmom // September 9, 2009 at 12:45 pm

if you see a poster named Rooster commenting on the Dept. of Whining, etc., its my hubby…

  • Laura // September 9, 2009 at 12:54 pm

Coreysmom, I wash my windows every week until my windex freezes to the window, I feel your pain. I would go nuts. Just tell him once he gets all those things fixed he won’t have those chores to do anymore. Then start a new list and maybe he will straighten up! lol

  • snoopysleuth // September 9, 2009 at 2:10 pm

    HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY
    COREYSMOM~~~

  • Weezie // September 9, 2009 at 2:27 pm

    THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

    Concentrate on this Sentence

‘To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.’ When God takes something from your grasp, He’s not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. Concentrate on this sentence…. ‘The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.’ Something good will happen to you today; something that you have been waiting to hear.

This is not a joke; someone will call you by phone or will speak to you about something that you were waiting to hear.

  • Weezie // September 9, 2009 at 2:32 pm

Oh, Happy B. Day Coreysmom. That utube tribute is lovely by the way, Snoopy. Just lovely.

  • snoopysleuth // September 9, 2009 at 2:37 pm

Weezie~~I am hoping our lady of the day will come in and cut us a piece of that cake. My mouth is watering. It is getting coolish here in the east and fall is in the air.

I read your comment and am waiting for the phone to ring.

  • Coreysmom // September 9, 2009 at 2:38 pm

    LOL Laura!
I just removed a storm window in a matter of 15 minutes and hubby is wondering how I did it! ROTFLMBO! The poor baby is not mechanically inclined, especially when its something he doesn’t want to do. Well, I can’t stand dirty windows!

Snoops! Thank you, dearheart! I will let the video load up and watch it on my next break. You are so sweet.

  • snoopysleuth // September 9, 2009 at 2:43 pm

    Coreysmom~~you are very welcome!

Hey, you are supposed to be sitting back relaxing today. It is your day.

  • Coreysmom // September 9, 2009 at 2:45 pm

Weezie, that is my favorite saying to live by. Trust me, God has pulled me through some bad times and I came outof it a better person, all thanks to His grace. Thanks for the birthday wishes!

Let you know if the phone rings…

And, go ahead and have some cake! Being virtual there is plenty for everyone! Even Dave can have some unless his sugar level rises at the mere sight of it.

  • Coreysmom // September 9, 2009 at 2:48 pm

Ha! Snoopy, watching my hubby bust his tail for me is a big thrill! I wouldn’t miss it for the world! Once a year and all…

  • Marinade Dave // September 9, 2009 at 2:48 pm

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY, COREYSMOM!!!

  • Weezie // September 9, 2009 at 3:04 pm

Coreysmom; I’m already thinking what kind of outfit you can buy for $200.00. but if it were me, I would pay someone to do those jobs with your $200.00 and go to the SPA for a day. It’s too much work monitoring the efforts of a man, who really wants out of the joe jobs, if you know what I mean. I’m eating your cake right now.

SNOOPY; It’s about 26 celcius here in Toronto. We are now having summer that never arrived till Sept. Maybe winter will be mild this year? You should be getting some warmer weather coming your way, from us.
No rain for about 10 days, which is really unusual this summer. I actually had to water the lawn yesterday, but I fear rain is on its’ way tomorrow.

  • Coreysmom // September 9, 2009 at 3:11 pm

Thanks Dave! I was wondering if you’d be around to pick on later, but hubby may wear me out by then!

  • Coreysmom // September 9, 2009 at 6:42 pm

Finally got a chance to see the video, Snoopy. That was so nice…thanks again!

  • Sheron // September 9, 2009 at 7:57 pm

Thanks, Dave and Detwill! I get my drug screen and physical tomorrow, already got my background check. I have no worries, but I can see why Casey couldn’t get a job anywhere! LOL No telling what she could not pass.

Weezie – those words you chose were so great for the THOUGHT FOR THE DAY! I should get a T-shirt made with those words.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY C-MOM!! I hope everything turned out just like you wanted! :)

Um, as far as TCD – not bad talking here, just saying, that site has frozen my computer for months. Then I got a blue screen. Now I am fighting viruses. I had to take my computer to techs a couple of months ago due to blue screen. They saved it, but now I am getting virus threats all the time.

The techs nixed Norton and downloaded AVG. I just won’t visit TCD anymore. Not that it’s the owner’s fault!! She has allowed ads on her site to pay for the site. I personally would never let a dollar enter my pocket in relation to Caylee. That would make me another…

I don’t THINK Dave has had to pay money to keep his blog going. I could be wrong. If I am wrong, I would not mind contributing to his site, to keep ads out. I do not know anything about Word Press.

I just know from experience with sports sites, when $ gets involved, it’s not a good thing.

Again, I say this without knowing anything about express. I do not know why she is allowing the ads.

  • Steeplechase Girl // September 9, 2009 at 9:46 pm

Just watched the Presidential Address, disheartened that this health care bill wont be affective for four years, especially the reference to small businesses being able to form a co-op scenario to keep costs down. I know that would help many shops here in NH right now.

Does anyone know who screamed out LIAR LIAR at Obama when he said we wouldn’t be paying for illegal immigrants? It came from the back left where the Republicans were sitting, of course LOL, but haven’t heard anything in the news follow up as of yet.

  • Coreysmom // September 9, 2009 at 10:26 pm

Sheron, thanks for the Bday wishes! Congrats on your job, too! I know that you will be the best there is if you ever strike out on your own. I admire you bunches from what little I have gotten to know you here at Dave’s.
All the best on your new job, friend!

  • Julie // September 10, 2009 at 9:15 am

CMom-Hope you had a great birthday yesterday……I of course had to tell your other friends that yesterday was your bday.

  • Coreysmom // September 10, 2009 at 10:57 am

It was a great Bday, Jules, thanks for being a part of the reason for it!
I can’t get into TCD! I tried and tried last night. I wanted to give my congrats to Fitzy. Surely the grandbaby is born into this world by now!

  • Julie // September 10, 2009 at 11:47 am

CMom-I don’t know why you can’t get in yet. No word on Fitzy yet. Only Estee & I have been in the BR so far. I tried twice posting you a BD message on main thread, both went to AM. ?? BR posts are still there.

  • Julie // September 10, 2009 at 1:06 pm

  • snoopysleuth // September 10, 2009 at 8:58 pm

Laura~~I am so sorry you are hurting today. The anniversary of my daughter’s death is on the 20th. Memories keep flooding back and it hurts like he** . As time passes, it help to cope a bit better but you never forget. You never get over the loss of a child regardless of how old they are. Tender hugs my friend.

  • Laura // September 10, 2009 at 9:09 pm

Thank you so much. It is always nice to talk to you because you know the pain and the feelings in general. Plus on my worst days you make me laugh out loud and most the time you don’t even know you do it. I will remember the 20th so I can say something wonderful to you so you may feel a little better! Thank you for being such a wonderful friend. :)

  • Sheron // September 10, 2009 at 9:32 pm

Oh gosh, Laura!! I know today must have been tough. :(

I remember feeling like you are such a brave woman when you told all of us about your twins. So brave and honest.

  • Coreysmom // September 11, 2009 at 12:40 am

Jules, I spent most of this night trying to post a comment at TCD and it went nowhere! Not even an AW MOD. So, I sent an email to 2shado to see what was up. I was so glad to get in after having hit or miss problems there the last few days and then I could not comment.
I told fitzy, Estee and you thank-you for the BDay wishes and had a special note to fitzy, too, about her soon to arrive greatgrandson. Told Estee I loved her brownies (of which you are passed out on the floor from eating one too many?lol). Express was there and I let her know she rocked and was doing great work at the site, too. But, twice, and my comment didn’t post. Gee, it makes me look rude to my friends!
Thank you for the video! Will let you know what is what here in the OF!
    hugs, friend!

  • Julie // September 11, 2009 at 10:55 am

CMom-have you e-mailed Express too? You might have to do that.

I was on the BR floor because of Eva, not the brownies, lol!

  • Coreysmom // September 11, 2009 at 11:23 am

LOL! Ya gotta watch that little devil, eva!

2shado wrote me back and said to write Express, too. She said I wasn’t banned. Don’t know why I would be but I figured I’d ask her.
I tried again to post a comment and got nowhere. So I have emailed Express. I hate bugging her now since she is being inundated with emails from those who think her site is passing along viruses. I will let you know what she says.

  • Coreysmom // September 11, 2009 at 12:27 pm

Jules, I have been banned from commenting at TCD. here is Express’ email to me:

I will not tolerate the spreading of untrue/false rumors trashing my website, no way.

Your own words: “”I think that is how folks got that virus over at TCD.”"

LOL! I never trashed TCD nor would I ever want to. It is one of my favorite sites. I go there daily. Plus, only here at Dave’s have I made any remarks about TCD. Others have gone to Caylee sites warning about going there. I don’t, nor would I want to, do that. I think that is mean to do when its not TCD’s fault for the viruses.
GEESH! What I was explaining was that the pop-up ads are the cause of viruses, not TCD! Oh well, it makes me feel bad for ever having tried to defend her and TCD.

  • Coreysmom // September 11, 2009 at 12:53 pm

Here is her second email to me:

I have read all that you have said as informed by others. The site is doing great, no loss of people coming to the site but grows daily as always … there are no ”masses” of complaints as the issue has passed, rumors fade and are found to be rumors & untrue but thanks for your concern ….

Now, she is banning me by what others have said I have said. That’s rich. Why didn’t she just check it out for herself? I guess I’m expendable. So was Cricket so why not me? Imagine that. I’m sure everyone is expendable over there. Watch what you say even in defense of TCD.

  • Julie // September 11, 2009 at 2:10 pm

CMom-I feel really bad for you, I’m sorry I brought the subject back up the next day. I was just confused about what the pop-up boxes actually meant. I will surely miss you over there, ALOT!! (and many others will too).

From what I understand, those were false alerts going out, but even a false alert is enough to make me to panic!

Heck, I could have gotten a false rumor/alert/pop-up ads, etc. for anybody…..let’s just say my own Mom & Dad, (my own flesh & blood), if they had a computer, if they had a web-site, and I still would have been trying to investigate if I now was having issues. It would be nothing personal against them, I just would rather be safe than sorry.

I have said it before, I’ll say it again….I hate computers! lol. I love using them, but I hate when issues come up. I should get a computers for (super) dummies book, but I’d rather talk (or type) with a person who knows what they’re doing, and all of my family/friends are also not too up on computers. The books can be quite confusing too. I like having a live person in front of me, who I can ask all my dumb questions to, as we go along. I’ve found more helpful people over here & over there, than I would find in a book.

Again, I’m really sorry this has happened to you, and I hope somehow you guys can work it out, and that you’ll be back over there soon. I really do.

  • Coreysmom // September 11, 2009 at 2:29 pm

No, the last email Express sent did it for me. She wants quantity and not quality. I’m happy here at Dave’s and at Snoopy’s blog.
I would want to warn anybody who is afraid of getting a virus of how it happens. Its not trashing the site that has these ads. Its just helping people who want to stay at the site on how to avoid the possibility of getting a virus. This is a risk at any site that has ads. I was trying to help, not hurt, anyone.
You don’t need to apologize, its not your fault. I’m not sorry to have helped you.
I sent Express and her spy, 2shado, a couple of comments I made here in TCD’s defense. They accused me of something I did not do (sounding like eva imitating Casey lol!) and have sentenced me to a banning without due cause. For that I don’t need the grief nor TCD. I will miss everyone there who have been there since the beginning like you and eva and Estee and tons more good people! You know where I am, though so please stop in as much as you can. We all like you here, y’know!!

  • Julie // September 11, 2009 at 2:53 pm

Not wanting to dig myself in any deeper, I will just say that I like both places, here & there, and all the people, very much. I am glad I found both sites, and all the other sites where I lurk. 8O

  • Julie // September 11, 2009 at 5:25 pm

CMom-I was trying to figure out who Sherry on this page was, until I read your other post. lol

  • Julie // September 11, 2009 at 5:31 pm

CMom, Sherry, are you back? I hope.

  • Sherry // September 11, 2009 at 6:00 pm

    I’m here, Jules!
I don’t need the nick anymore. I had to have it because I got into it with YourTurnToHelp (do you know him from the old blog and CSO?) in Express and saradoodle’s defense. He told Express that he would not help her with her new site, TCD, if I (Sherry C.) remained as a poster. So, I had to change my name to Coreysmom to fool him and to stay at TCD. It was a great laugh among 2shado, DQ, and us. Well, I didn’t like having to change my name but it had to be done for Express’ sake.

I found a site that lists hoaxes that can pass along a virus if you open them:
    http://vil.mcafee.com/hoax.asp
I did not receive a virus warning from MacAfee but a notice that a Trojan had been taken care of after having gone to TCD. Never click on anything warning of a virus because your security should take care of it automatically. If you have a concern just have your comp scanned to find out.

  • Sherry // September 11, 2009 at 6:08 pm

    Hi, martha!
    TCD-The Caylee Daily.

  • Julie // September 11, 2009 at 6:18 pm

Sherry-that’s weird to type-were you in the BR a little while ago?

  • Julie // September 11, 2009 at 6:25 pm

Sherry-nope, I don’t know the guy you are talking about. I didn’t get to TCD til Feb, I think, which I guess was already the “new” blog.

Thanks for the link, I’m scared to click on it, only kidding.

I’m not clicking on anything that pops up out of anywhere….I’ve seen several of those things, usually late at night, and my comp security does come on a few seconds later, while I’m sitting there wide-eyed & mouth open, starting to say oh, no…….lol.

  • Julie // September 11, 2009 at 6:31 pm

I don’t know if everyone here has heard by now, but there was a news article this morning warning of receiving a fake IRS e-mail, don’t open that either.

  • Julie // September 11, 2009 at 6:45 pm

Sherry-just checked your link, wow, so many of them sound like things the normal person would click on.

  • Sherry // September 11, 2009 at 7:22 pm

Heehee, Jules! I thought, “Jules may not trust this site warning of hoaxes” when I posted that. LOL!

No, I haven’t been to the BR over there. I suppose someone has namejacked me? Remember, I am banned! I can’t post over there so whoever it is, its not me! She better be nice to you all! :???:

  • Sherry // September 11, 2009 at 7:26 pm

Yeah, they do look like innocent things, don’t they?
I have all of my email attachments scanned before opening them but its still nice to know about these things in case something gets past the security.

  • Julie // September 11, 2009 at 8:28 pm

Sherry-LOL, I almost didn’t want to click it, but I did.

I have no idea then what’s going on.

Yeah, those things sure do look innocent.

  • Sherry // September 11, 2009 at 9:05 pm

Julie, are there comments using Coreysmom in the BR? If so do they say thanks to you and Estee and Express? Does it have a message to fitzy? If not then either someone is playing games or someone else has come on with that nick who is legit.

  • momvaughn4 // September 11, 2009 at 9:15 pm

Coreysmom & other TCDers: Express banned me also. Guess I shouldn’t have complained about viruses from her ads. I had 6 viruses my husband had to get rid of.

  • Sherry // September 11, 2009 at 9:41 pm

Oh no, momvaughn! In a way it is her site giving these viruses to peoples’ comps because she allows those ads! All I tried to do was tell everyone that they can still go there just don’t click on “skip this ad”. I’ve defended Express since the start of her blog and I would never trash her site! And why is it considered trashing when it is the truth? Enough people were emailing her about it. I’m sorry to hear this that Express is banning people like this all for the sake of these money-making ads. There will be more leaving her site and being banned if she thinks folks are expendable.
Just be thankful that you are gone from there before getting a blue screen.

  • Julie // September 11, 2009 at 10:17 pm

    Sherry-Did you go check?

MomVaughn, so sorry for you too.

  • Sherry // September 11, 2009 at 10:26 pm

No, I don’t care to go there anymore. Express has hurt and angered me to the point of being done completely of that site. I have wiped the dust off my feet of her and 2shado, her spy and cohort.

  • momvaughn4 // September 11, 2009 at 10:40 pm

I’m not upset, just surprised. I sent her an email directly complaining about the ads. Obviously there was some truth to the virus issues because she closed down her site for a day & a half to fix stuff. I never said anything on her site but did say something here on Dave’s site the other day in response to other’s comments.

  • Sherry // September 11, 2009 at 10:54 pm

Express just doesn’t want to own up to being resposible for putting those whole page ads up that are passing along the viruses. Most bloggers know that that is how viruses strike their commentors’ comps.

  • Sherry // September 12, 2009 at 12:24 pm

Express and 2shado, trash me all you want, my conscience is clear and my heart was right in helping others come to TCD without fear of getting a virus. Your last emails to me have been put in the junk file and all future emails will now go there. I could care less what you may have had to say to me in those emails or in any future ones. Have fun with your false accusations and maligning of me to your buds at TCD. Anyone who wants to see for themselves if I have “trashed” TCD can come here to find all of my comments. Now, I am done with comments about this as I am done with the nastiness of you two toward me without cause.

  • Sherry // September 12, 2009 at 8:59 pm

Jules, I see what you mean:

    >^.^< Coreysmom
September 11, 2009 at 5:14 pmI love TCD! This is the Best site it focuses on quality not quantity. BTW, everyone, Have a Nice weekend! Thanks for all you do 2shado & Express

    ———————-
That wasn't me, it was Express giving herself and 2shado a pat on the back vicariously through my nick. Just playing games…she hasn't grown up yet, lol!
I see you fell for it, so sorry!

  • Julie // September 12, 2009 at 10:49 pm

Sherry-seriously, I thought it was you, and assumed (or hoped) that you guys had worked things out.

Guess the joke is on me, since I responded…….twice.

  • Sherry // September 12, 2009 at 11:37 pm

Julie, you have a good heart and it was a cruel joke.
She not only namejacked but also imitated me because most of what was written is/was my heart, like wishing everyone a nice weekend. That much was a favor done for me through her deception. I do hope you have a great weekend!
People with tender hearts always wish for the best.
Express is reading these comments, btw, since I had stated earlier in this thread that she is more concerned with quantity than quality. Notice her comment using my old nick has it the other way around? LOL!
No, if you see Coreysmom being used over there with the kitty it is not me. I’m banned. I suppose the next thing she will do is publish my email addy. She’s done that before.
I saw your responses-you are so sweet. So sorry she felt it was ok to fool her fellow commentors like that. Not nice in my book.

I will post that article of Dave’s about the June 15th vs. June 16th issue back here. It took a bit but I’m convinced it was June 16th now after all this time thinking it was after the fight on the 15th. Watch for it, dearheart!

  • Julie // September 12, 2009 at 11:58 pm

Sherry-It really doesn’t matter much to me that I responded to it. Here, I smuggled you a piece of the cake……..it’s from a few days ago, but who cares?

If you post the article, I’ll read it.

  • Sherry // September 13, 2009 at 12:05 am

    Here’s the article:

    http://marinadedave.wordpress.com/2009/07/05/analysis-did-caylee-die-on-june-15-or-16/

It gets heated in the comment line but we all respect each other and move on.

  • Sherry // September 13, 2009 at 12:44 am

I posted it but its in spam. Dave will get it out of there so look for it!

The cake is yummy! Darn that Express! She forgot to thank you and Estee for me for the birthday wishes when she namejacked me!
I worked at a bakery and trust me, the frosting has a way of preserving the cake. Never buy a display cake-the frosting holds up a cake even thouh it is moldy old.
Do you remember faith from TCD? She said she’s going to check out this site of Dave’s, too.

  • Julie // September 13, 2009 at 9:07 am

Sherry-thanks for the article & Dave for un-spamming it. I read through it kind of quickly, and will go back later to re-read it again. I will leave no comments on what I actually think, since the topic is dead.

Sherry-Luckily, I never ended up buying a moldy cake. Do you ever watch those cake shows on The Food Network, some of those cakes look really cool!

I think I remember seeing a Faith, but it must have been quite some time ago.

  • Sherry // September 13, 2009 at 10:03 am

Yes! Lately I have been watching the Food Network and those cake shows. Its fun watching them put those cakes together. I sit on the edge of my seat when they have to transport them. I pray, Oh, God, please don’t let the cake tip over! LOL! One time our cake decorator sprained her wrist and I had to do the decorating. My roses and writing was better than hers (that’s what she said) but I was lousy at the piping of the borders. it was fun but I wouldn’t want to do it as a job or career.
When you read through the comments you will see that some of us had Dave pulling out his hair! Where that hair was I have no idea! He worked hard to research and present that article so its understandable why he wants it to be a dead issue. But, I will say that he finally convinced me! The timeline tells the tale, too.

  • Dis // September 17, 2009 at 3:26 am

I’ve read this site a few times….they go back and forth about stuff…LOL….funny…they fight but nicely….is that a word?

  • Dis // September 17, 2009 at 3:27 am

We can bash them here though right? LOL It says ANYTHING….but we know what that means don’t we?

  • Julie // September 17, 2009 at 3:27 am

    They debate.

  • Julie // September 17, 2009 at 3:29 am

Not quite…..I hope you were joking.

  • Dis // September 17, 2009 at 3:29 am

She doesn’t post under Cmom anymore? I have seen her post as Cmom on here before…did she change?

  • Julie // September 17, 2009 at 3:30 am

  • Julie // September 17, 2009 at 3:32 am

    Very long story…………..

  • Dis // September 17, 2009 at 3:32 am

I’m kind of tired of A bashing anyway…they are their own worst enemies and I used to stick up for them a little till I got tired of the negative posts back to me….I wouldn’t wish their lives on my husbands ex wife….and no, I wasn’t joking….you can’t even bach them on this forum?….what about Casey? Can we bash her? LOL Flea? I mean Lee. LOL

  • Dis // September 17, 2009 at 3:34 am

I know I can’t help it…I’m in a foul mood…only thing that makes it better is we are not AW LOL

  • Julie // September 17, 2009 at 3:35 am

None of them……you’ll have to look around.

Iam trying to stay sooo neutral amongst all these disputes, I really am. I like all parties involved & it makes it really hard.

  • Julie // September 17, 2009 at 3:37 am

Really really hard, cuz I like them all.

  • Dis // September 17, 2009 at 3:38 am

I think there is more going on than I realize…can you elaborate? I’m confused…does it involve me?

  • Dis // September 17, 2009 at 3:39 am

I try not to take anything personal on the internet….I don’t know anybody from Adam so how can it hurt me?

  • Julie // September 17, 2009 at 3:40 am

Dis-I need to go to bed. I’ll see you tomorrow somewhere….. :D

  • Dis // September 17, 2009 at 3:50 am

It’s not a blog per se…but you can post comments…if you post too many they have you do something so they know it is you posting…you have to set up an account…I don’t have one but I could set one up….my nephew has one and I have used his…he is thumper or something like that but I would make my own if you want but I like it here too…I don’t have a problem not bashing the A’s….I always feel bad when I do anyway cuz they lost Caylee and that’s all the bashing they need IMO

  • Dis // September 17, 2009 at 3:51 am

Sleep tight! Good Night Mary Ellen! I’ll leave a comment for you on her tomorrow….

  • Julie // September 17, 2009 at 3:52 am

  • Julie // September 17, 2009 at 3:54 am

    Nite.

  • Dis // September 17, 2009 at 3:27 pm

Jules~I just finished reading all the posts on this page and now I understand what you were talking about. I discovered this morning that I am also banned from TCD. I expected it and I think in a way I wanted it. I have had a feeling for awhile about some stuff at that site but I kept it to myself cuz I love you guys….I feel exactly how Cmom\Sherry (LOL) feels. Peace Out TCD I can do without the petty rules. I understand most of them and I agree but they keep adding

rules and chastising people people in the middle of convos and it is rude. I saw two comments from 2shado reprimanding bloggers for talking about swine flu!!!! The convo you and I had was innocent and it was wrong for them to get all mad. Now I see they don’t want Eva writing her stories!!!! I will miss everyone but I don’t feel the need to be involved with something that started out as interest in the murder of a precious baby. I think I will take a break from blogging altogether….(I’ll check back to read your comments on here though) No more TCD, now that I think about it, I probably got the virus that crashed BOTH of my computers from there. I have better protection now so I am ok. I have really enjoyed our time together Jules and I will understand if you don’t respond to this.

Note to Dave: Sorry I took up a comment on your blog to resolve a personal issue but I have no other way to contact my friend. I really enjoy your blog and I will continue to read. I hope you are doing better as far as your health is concerned, Cmom\Sherry (LOL) had put a message for prayer for you at TCD and there were many prayers for you. Take Care

  • Sherry // September 17, 2009 at 3:32 pm

Sneakin’ in to give Dave a hug. Hope you are feeling better soon, friend.

  • snoopysleuth // September 17, 2009 at 3:40 pm

What the hoot is going on today?

  • Cheyenne // September 17, 2009 at 4:08 pm

    Hairaccrossassitis ;)

  • Sherry // September 17, 2009 at 4:20 pm

Hi, Dis! Sorry to hear you have been banned. I’m glad you found Jules over here. I’m glad to see you, too. I was mad about being banned but it is a blessing in disguise-who knows, what if I were to crash my comp through clicking on “skip this ad” by accident?
Dave has a great blog with intelligently written articles so do stop in and comment, if you will! Hope to see you soon, Caylee’s friend!

  • Sherry // September 17, 2009 at 4:39 pm

    LOL! Good one, Cheyenne!

Snoopy, Dave thinks that I dissed him. He thinks I said his articles are not of any good quality. I never mentioned anything about the quality of his articles in my comment. Nor the quality of anyone’s articleson their blogs. When I mentioned the quality of bloggers’ blogs through ad monies I meant improving the format and upgrades needed. I dare say, if a blog doesn’t have quality articles without ads they sure as hell wont have them after!
Anyways, I wonder if he has been thinking on putting ads on his site and it has been bothering him a bit about doing it. Perhaps he is thinking others will accuse him of making money off Caylee. And, there will be numbnuts that will do that. As for me, I don’t see a thing wrong with it. I think he should set up a paypal, too. He is upgrading his blog by giving us videos now. Plus, he is getting more traffic so to keep things running smoothly the monies will help.
I will run if there are full page pop-ups that bypass my adblocker though. Not gonna go through that again!

  • Dis // September 17, 2009 at 6:47 pm

Hi Sherry! It is so nice to see you too! You were one of the first to welcome me at TCD and I will miss a lot of people from there. Oh well, nothing lasts forever right? I’m not sad about being banned, I said what I said on a different site and they followed me over and read my comments. I didn’t bash anyone or anything, just told the truth like you did. I guess some have a problem with that concept. I was a little surprised that you were banned with no warning and that little stunt using your name to make a phony message was childish, I didn’t expect that. My Aunt (God rest her soul) used to say that everyone is normal till you spend time with them. Looks can be decieving and I thought I had found a safe place. And if anyone is Caylee’
s friend, you are!!!! I am looking forward to commenting on the open blog. ((hugs)) Maybe Eva will find her way over here to entertain us with her stories. She would LOVE a tiki bar!!! LOL

  • Julie // September 17, 2009 at 7:18 pm

Dis-I will come here later, kind of busy all day, esp. afternoon/evening.

  • Sherry // September 17, 2009 at 8:22 pm

Sorry to be so late in reply, Dis! Yeah, I do miss everyone but alot of them were leaving anyways. And poor eva! She is one funny lady!
I’m glad a few of us can cross paths and even meet up at a different blog.
Dave is working on his site, I think, so a new OF should be soon. I did request a Tiki bar and lap pool but that is up to Dave.
    BBL, sweet friend!

  • Laura // October 8, 2009 at 9:37 pm

Dave-I was offered a new position today. I only have to work 30 hours in a office, I still have full time benefits plus I get a $15,000. raise. I am going to decide by next Tuesday. Plus I found my dogs brother 4 hours away up for adoption he has been beaten and breeding for the last 5 years. I am adopting him. He looks exactly like my shih tzu. I hate animal abusers, I know I shouldn’t but it is horrible to hurt animals.

  • Marinade Dave // October 8, 2009 at 10:25 pm

I lost power. It happens in Florida. Laura, I would take the job and the dog. That’s great you were offered that.

  • Laura // October 8, 2009 at 11:28 pm

I lost my mind, but I am back. Happens all the time. I want to take the job, but I have been working from home for a few years and I love it. I get to work in my jammies if I want. However the extra money would be great in my girls savings account. I save 25% of my income for them, if I drop dead I want them to be able to buy a house or whatever they need. It will one day make a nice down payment. We have never been homeless thank God but for some reason I fear that for them. I am crazy!!! lol

  • Weezie // November 1, 2009 at 10:02 pm

Ok Viki; I’m here but what about the rest of them. Do you really think they will follow?

  • Sherry // November 1, 2009 at 10:31 pm

pssst, Weezie…I think this is the old OF….

  • Weezie // November 1, 2009 at 10:33 pm

Ok, enlighten me, where do I go?

  • Weezie // November 1, 2009 at 10:48 pm

Ok, found it. Just me, myself and the keyboard.

    “The Value of a Drink”

Sometimes when I reflect back on all the wine and spirits that I drank, I feel ashamed. When I look into a glass and think about the workers in the vineyards and all their hopes and dreams and aspirations…. If I don’t drink this wine, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered and unfulfilled. Therefore, I say to myself, “It is better that I drink this wine and let their dreams come true, rather than me be selfish and worry about the condition of my liver.

“WHEN I READ ABOUT THE EVILS OF DRINKING”, I give up reading……….

    “IRISH LOVE OF THE NECTAR”

An Irishman, Englishman and a Scotsman go into a pub and each order their favourite pint of guinness. Just as the bartender hands them over, three flies buzz down and one lands in each of the pints.

The Englishman looks disgusted, pushes his pint away and demands another pint.
The Scotsman picks out the fly, shrugs, and takes a long swallow of the brew. Now the Irishman reaches into the glass, pinches the fly between his fingers and shakes him while yelling, “Spit it out ya bastard and shakes him while yelling, spit it out ya bastard, spit it out!

  • Sherry // November 1, 2009 at 10:49 pm

Weezie, sorry to be late in reply. Boy! I went to the new OF and found a comment to me and -yikes! I had no idea it was there. I feel like a heel!
Okay, I’ll go there and give you a shout out-unless you are there already! LOL!

  • Sherry // November 1, 2009 at 11:00 pm

    ROTFLMBO! That’s a good, Weezie!

  • Weezie // November 1, 2009 at 11:04 pm

Sherry????? What do you mean you feel like a heel? What’s going on? OOOOPS let’s get back to the jokes. You really ought to be here. My husband is on the sofa in my office going through all his jokes on paper, sitting with his undies and sweater on. How cute is that? Anyway he isn’t computer literate but wants to be part of the gang. So he is elected to find the jokes that I am sending. Wow what a night. I just can’t find anyone who wants to jibe but you. thanks for that.

  • Vicky // November 1, 2009 at 11:17 pm

    Tag – You’re it.

Although I love to do my share of “wineing”, a bit of Irish Whiskey warms my spirit as well.

Weezie – I sincerely do appreciate your wonderfuls sense of homor and the jokes you shared this evening. I am really bad at coy and paste as you will note in the one I left for you on the other thread.

  • Sherry // November 1, 2009 at 11:23 pm

Vicky, have you been nippin’? j/k!

Okay, ladies, I gave a shout out to you both at the new OF-you can see why I feel like a heel there.
I’m going there one more time to give you girls a wave-follow me!

  • Weezie // November 1, 2009 at 11:49 pm

Sherry please……….. let me in on the secret? What’s the heel feeling and why do you feel that way? I kind of run out of jokes but Peter is still looking. He is a hound about sending funnies.

  • Laura // November 2, 2009 at 7:53 pm

Dave I was going to say this at your new post but thought it might ruffle feathers, but I AM NEVER WRONG!! Always right. ALWAYS! LOL. I hope you laughed don’t think you have done that the last two days. :)
