WooHoo! Julie? Dis? I’m in the new OF!
I can’t get to the bottom of the old OF anymore.
Thanks, Dave!
Marinade Dave // September 17, 2009 at 10:07 pm
Sure, Sherry. A little late, but it’s there. You can always refer back to the older Open Forums by clicking on the ones that appear under Open Forums on the sidebar.
Sherry // September 17, 2009 at 10:58 pm
That’s what I did to get to the old one but, lately, it just didn’t want to take me all the way down. That happens to me on any thread with too many comments.
Julie // September 18, 2009 at 12:46 am
Sherry-I don’t see a Tiki bar…….
Hi Dis.
Dis // September 18, 2009 at 1:03 am
Hey Jules! Have you heard? I have been banned! It doesn’t suprise me, I knew last night when I said those things on the other blog that they would follow us to see what we were saying. I am not for sure cuz I didn’t email anyone but I tried to post a comment and it disappeared….poof….LOL What up Jules and Sherry?
Julie // September 18, 2009 at 1:09 am
Hi Dis-I tried posting too & they just vanished. I did send an e-mail, but haven’t heard back yet. What horrible rotten thing did I say????
I always make sure I say nothing bad & everything I did say was positive. So do you have any idea?
Dis // September 18, 2009 at 1:12 am
Oh no!!!!!!!!!! This is all my fault, I couldn’t keep my big mouth shut! I am truly sorry Jules. I hope it is just a fluke.
Julie // September 18, 2009 at 1:12 am
Dis-Dave has at the top of this that this page we can write anything….including trashing him & knowing that I can do that & not get into trouble, I wouldn’t…that’s just not me. I sometimes have a hard time thinking of trash talk for the A’s. What was the trash I talked last night to get banned?
Julie // September 18, 2009 at 1:15 am
Dis, no, it’s not your fault. I was thinking at first that it was because of all the I miss the BR stuff we were saying & the
disguise & I said something like ssshhh, don’t say my real fake name, let’s change it to….um….I can’t think of anything….think of something…..I thought it was because of that, & they were worried with the no double name rule.
Dis // September 18, 2009 at 1:15 am
Honestly I don’t think either of us said anything bad and I wish I had known the pop ups were causing the virus. I never had any problems with either one of my comps until I started going there. JMO It is partly my fault for not renewing my Norton but I was going to go with Mc Afee but I kept putting it off. I am so sorry. I can’t think of anything you may have said. Aren’t you worried about the email thing?
Julie // September 18, 2009 at 1:16 am
I do miss the people & just reading them isn’t the same.
Julie // September 18, 2009 at 1:17 am
But I practically LIVE there 24/7, and I never got a virus….there—another positive thing.
Worried about what e-mail thing? Getting a response?
Dis // September 18, 2009 at 1:19 am
Julie, I went back last night after we said good night. (I was gonna try to erase my posts LOL) I re-read everything and I was the one saying stuff but it was all the truth and I only feel bad cuz I dragged you over there. I honestly thought when I logged in this morning and noticed the Br was back that we were just being paranoid, but I guess not. You said many times how much you liked it and didn’t want to get bounced out. Strange, tell you the truth I think it is about $$$$$$$$$$$$ That’s what those adds bring in is cash and I don’t blame her for that but she should warn people of possible threats instead of being scared of rumors. Most people will ask themselves cuz we all loved it there so much. sad
Dis // September 18, 2009 at 1:22 am
The rules clearly state that changing your name is ok unless you are doing it to harrass or trick someone. There was none of that. We just fooled around. Did you read the notice about no more fantasy stories? What is up with that? People used to go to the BR just for that reason.
Dis // September 18, 2009 at 1:24 am
Yeah, getting a response and hubby seeing it. You know I would never do this myself but you could get another email addy that is secret. I know if you are humble enough they will let you back in. But, do you really want to frequent a place that is dishonest? That name stealing using Cmom was childish and dishonest.
Julie // September 18, 2009 at 1:24 am
I think it said no double user names or something…?
It said she was going to make a place for fantasy stories.
Julie // September 18, 2009 at 1:26 am
Dis-you are talking to the computer idiot…..I don’t have a clue how to get a separate one, & I don’t think I want to. I will just sleep on the keyboard & if he gets to close to the screen, I’ll holler at him or something…
Dis // September 18, 2009 at 1:27 am
Banning you and not at least giving you a warning was not fair. I will go back and re-read them again to make sure but I don’t see why you would get in trouble for stuff that I said. Now you have friends in low places Jules!!! LOL
Dis // September 18, 2009 at 1:29 am
There are lots of websites that offer free email….and you don’t even have to bookmark so he wouldn’t know where to look but you’re right, it is not necessary if you sleep on the keyboard. LOL asdfghkl;’ remember that? lol
Julie // September 18, 2009 at 1:30 am
No, hopefully he won’t see it & open it, then he’ll say see I told you not to go on one of those things. He doesn’t get it….I’m addicted….
Dis // September 18, 2009 at 1:30 am
Tell him you are doing a scan! 80
Julie // September 18, 2009 at 1:31 am
For 5 hours?? hee hee
Julie // September 18, 2009 at 1:31 am
That’s what I mean, if he gets too close to the screen, I’ll yell at him, only kidding!
Dis // September 18, 2009 at 1:31 am
My hubby doesn’t get it either….but he doesn’t say anything he is just glad that I am not out shopping I think. LOL
Julie // September 18, 2009 at 1:32 am
I’m tired too…I was up til almost 3 last night with you & got up at 6.
Dis // September 18, 2009 at 1:34 am
I want to warn you, she is not as sweet in her emails as she comes across on the blog. The one she sent me after that one night actually shocked me. WE DID NOTHING WRONG THAT NIGHT It’s like she thinks a bunch of morons cruise that site and won’t understand that we are not bashing just cuz we were discussing virus issues. It was very clear what we were talking about.
Julie // September 18, 2009 at 1:37 am
I’ve e-mailed with her before after an issue & it was fine.
If what you are talking about is the night I’m thinking of, I did say too much, but I was automatically back on the next morning with no e-mails.
Dis // September 18, 2009 at 1:37 am
Get some sleep Julie…and try not to worry about it. It looks like you found a better site anyway and don’t think I didn’t notice that you refrained from bashing the A’s. I totally respect that about you. ((hugs)) I actually cried when I heard that Geo had attempted suicide cuz I see the horror they are going through and NO ONE even the A’s should have to face that. Nite
Julie // September 18, 2009 at 1:40 am
Goodnight Dis….I’ll see ya tomorrow. I’ll sit here for another 1/2 hour or so, doing puzzles, watching my email tab.
Julie // September 18, 2009 at 1:50 am
I also love this site & all of the wonderful people here too!!!
momvaughn4 // September 18, 2009 at 2:11 am
Dis & Jules – I was banned last week because I made comments on this site about the viruses ( I got 6 from her site) and complaining about the ads especially the full page ads. Guess she’s been cleaning house.
Sherry // September 18, 2009 at 8:57 am
Dis // September 18, 2009 at 1:22 am
The rules clearly state that changing your name is ok unless you are doing it to harrass or trick someone.
———————
What a hypocrit! That’s what she did with my name!
Plus, she says she doesn’t have spies-who is she lying to? And she called me a liar.
Perhaps poetic justice will be that everyone who reported us will get a virus big time! Ooh! I speak out of anger over this!
Clearly us “oldies” are wise to her and she doesn’t want that! She only wants the unwitting newbies who will click on those full page ads at a risk because every click means money. It takes alot of clicks to make anything so she needs the dummies there to click away!
She won’t have much of a website come the trial if she keeps being crappy.
Yeah, Jules, brace yourself for her mean-spirited, accusatory email. You will see the real Express!
Sherry // September 18, 2009 at 10:08 am
Dis, I have MacAfee and really like it. Though true, I never got a false warning from them. They just take care of the virus and in the corner of the screen lets you know what they did. I didn’t have to click on a thing. They also constantly upgrade their security which means they stay on top of the latest viruses.
Sophos did a comparison of MacAfee and Norton and MacAfee was higher rated.
AVG is good, too, from what I’ve heard. I don’t know much about them, however.
Dis // September 18, 2009 at 10:49 am
Hi momv4 and Sherry! It is unfortunate that we were treated that way. I actually wrote on another blog that it feels like we are in China or Russia. LOL I’m sorry momv4 that you had the same experience but now we know. Julie is an innocent by-stander, she was really concerned about her computer and was just trying to figure out what was going on. I have a feeling she did have a virus but her security system cleaned it up. The way she described it was similar to what my comps were doing before they crashed. To be fair, it was my fault for not renewing my security sooner. But I never had any problems until I became a CDer.
Sherry~They didn’t have to spy on me, I left instructions for what blog I was going to and a link so they followed. I’m such a chicken that I tried to erase the posts. I probably wouldn’t have said anything if my comments had not went to AW. I even apologized for being off topic because we didn’t have a BR for it. Oh well! But if they saw momv4’s comment then they are trolling. It’s all very juvenile, I trusted Express to be who she protrayed herself to be and that was my mistake. I spent some time last night reading some Dave’s posts and I like the way he thinks. I hope to see you two around. I have to work all day so maybe later. Hopefully Dave puts up a new post so I can make a comment that hasn’t already been made. See you guys around!
P.S. Sherry, I really liked the name Cmom but now that I know why you were using it I like Sherry better.
Dis // September 18, 2009 at 10:52 am
Sherry~ About the McAfee, I had Norton and had to install a program to uninstall it before I could install McAfee but the program worked very well and now I LOVE McAfee for the same reasons you mentioned.
Dis // September 18, 2009 at 10:54 am
My computer tech recommended AVG so I might try it when McAfee runs out but I am really loyal so if I am still happy with their product I might just stick with Mc.
Sherry // September 18, 2009 at 12:35 pm
Oh my! I have to stay inside with doors locked! An armed suspect is running around in my neighborhood. Hope my dog can hold it until the guy is caught! lol!
Marinade Dave // September 18, 2009 at 12:47 pm
Oh my is right, Sherry. Stay safe. I’m sure cops are all over the neighborhood by now. Please let me know later. Take care of yourself first!
Sherry // September 18, 2009 at 2:15 pm
The radio station I’m listening to hasn’t given the update on it after all this time. I want to enjoy some of the day but am going to wait til 3:00 when hubby comes home. Guess he will come home to a spotless house since I have nothing better to do, lol. Next thing to clean-his toolbox. He will be so happy when he can’t find a tool because I’ve put them where they belong!
Julie // September 18, 2009 at 3:10 pm
Hi guys…can you believe it, I’m finally caught up for now, and kids will be home soon, guess I’ll have to enjoy the short break while it lasts. It will be over before I know it!
Julie // September 18, 2009 at 3:12 pm
Sherry-I hope they catch the guy…I’m surprised there’s no updates!
BBL
Julie // September 18, 2009 at 3:24 pm
Came back for a minute-I hope it is as sunny & pleasant by you guys as it is by me.
Later.
Sherry // September 18, 2009 at 5:48 pm
Nothing more on this guy running around my neighborhood. They must have caught him. They did catch two of his passengers.
Catch ya later, Jules!
Julie // September 19, 2009 at 4:21 pm
Sherry-I hope they caught the guy by now…did they??
Dis & Sherry…fyi..I am back on at TCD, I will still chat with you guys, but I’m going to be more careful.
Julie // September 20, 2009 at 12:20 am
Dis-are you here?
snoopysleuth // September 20, 2009 at 11:54 pm
Dave~~I tried to post a link in your spoliation site but my comment is not showing. I may not have closed off a tag. Please forgive me if I left a mess and just zap them out of there. I am gonna try one more time here before I hit the sack…
Just for Dave
snoopysleuth // September 21, 2009 at 12:01 am
Well that one worked. I am gonna be dangerous now that I have a simple little code that works. Next thing is getting nice big fonts to work. WordPress wont accept them but I am gonna keep trying. Goodnight…
Julie // September 21, 2009 at 10:37 am
Sherry: (So it’s a day late
)
There was a young girl names Sherry
Who set out to find a man to marry
She spied his messy tool box
And his sweaty smelly gym socks
And said what a great wife I’ll be.
I will shred the household bills
And varnish the kitchen window sills
I will feed the dog
And post on a blog …(close enough)
We will live happily in the hills.
Julie // September 21, 2009 at 10:39 am
Dis-I hope to see you posting soon….
Dis // September 21, 2009 at 11:49 am
Hey Jules! I’m sorry I missed you. We had an out of town game on Sat. We cleaned carpets on Sun (puppy) so I have been really busy. I was very happy to read that you are back on this morning. Now I don’t have to feel bad. LOL The potty training is actually going really well. We had to end up getting a kennel after she tore up one of my money trees. Ugh! And then she got ahold of a very old vine plant that was wound around the flat screen. She dang near pulled the TV off of the wall. The kennel works great and she only had one accident all weekend and it was by the door so she is starting to get it, I THINK. LOL FYI-For anyone who has dogs….Ceasar Millan’s books are amazingly helpful. They teach you how to train your dog in a humane way. She is an American Pit Bull Terrier so I wanted to train her the right way. And if it works out I am going up to the shelter and adopt another one. We were shocked to see the number of pits that have been thrown away by their owners.. Very Sad….I have done some research and found out that most pits that have attacked are cross bred with other more aggressive breeds (think chow) Bella is pure bred and I got her from a friend so I know how she was treated her first few weeks of life (like a human baby) She is a very smart dog and already knows a few tricks. Daughter is very good at teaching her tricks (picking up dog doo, not so much LOL) I’ll catch you later Jules. Maybe tonight after work if you feel up to it. ((hugs))

Anyone interested in the Jaycee Dugard case may be
interested in the CNN News today re: “Gerrado Claimed
Black Box Could Speak His Mind” See near bottom of
article “Read The News Release” Could it be that there
is a “black box” in the mind of Casey Anthony?
Sherry // September 21, 2009 at 12:55 pm
Love it, Jules!
You are tops at limericks!
Marinade Dave // September 21, 2009 at 12:56 pm
I am very interested, Beatrice, and I plan on being more interested in it as soon as I can break away from these defense motions. That story is just waiting to be explored.
Sherry // September 21, 2009 at 1:00 pm
Thanks, Beatrice, for the news update.
I don’t know if Casey has a “black box” but she sure has a black heart.
Sherry // September 21, 2009 at 1:05 pm
Jules, I was at TCD the other day and experienced no pop-ups. You will be safe. Everyone was safe before if they didn’t click on those ads in any way.
All the best to Express. I’m not mad at her anymore. I can see her point though it wasn’t my intention to spread rumors. I truly wanted to help her and others who love it there.
Julie // September 21, 2009 at 1:21 pm
Dis-good luck on the potty training. Once she gets the hang of it, you’ll have so much more free time. Good thing she didn’t yank that tv down on herself or anyone else. I feel bad for the “throw away” dogs, just be careful, I’ve heard some bad follow up stories too. (Ah, yes, doggy doo duty, the memories,….. that used to be one of my jobs growing up, cleaning up the yard,…..yuck!) I’ll look for you tonight, unless I fall asleep, like last night. :8O:
Julie // September 21, 2009 at 1:22 pm

My pleasure. Nope, I didn’t read it yet.

the man was, if a pychiatrist (sp) or a defense attorney,
quote: “Often, true mental issues do not manifest until the early twenties” I can not add or take away anything.
Just heard the statement.
Marinade Dave // September 21, 2009 at 4:00 pm
I know this is a touchy subject to some, but Ina’s mother passed away last night. She sent me an e-mail to let me know. Ina talked about her mother for as long as she was around here, so I felt as if I knew her. If any of you are so inclined, please leave a message of condolence on her Web site.

Julie // September 22, 2009 at 2:13 am
Dis-are you around?
Sherry // September 22, 2009 at 9:33 am
Julie, you here?
Just wanted to let you know that 2shado said she wasn’t the one spying. She had emailed me about another comment I had made a long time ago that could have been misunderstood to be about TCD specifically. I drug her last email out of the junk file and she says it wasn’t her. I have no reason not to trust her. She’s a good person. Just wanted to let you know I jumped the gun on that.
Hope all is well for you! Stay safe in the blogging world!
(oh, you didn’t ask any idiotic questions! Don’t be afraid to ask. Its how I learned what I know.)
Julie // September 22, 2009 at 12:42 pm
Sherry-thanks for letting me know, cuz I really like 2shado. I’ve been thinking about it lately, and her pattern is usually different than what I have seen lately. She would have said something, like hey you guys, let’s be nice here, or something like that. (Which would have been within her right to do so, as a moderator. It’s just that it’s 2shado’s pattern to say something, not just to start knocking you into AwMod & off of the site completely. Sherry-you used to give warnings to people too.)
Which is partly why I was looking for Dis. I was going to suggest that Dis e-mail Express & ask if she would be allowed back on, that’s what I did. She did not chew me out, she just put something like you’re back on, have a nice rest of the weekend, or something like that. That says alot about Express & I am thankful for another chance there. I just wanted to tell Dis, it doesn’t hurt to just ask. Dis, let me know if you read this too.
Talk to both of you later.
Sherry // September 22, 2009 at 2:24 pm
I really don’t care if I comment there anymore. I can get the news I want through the Orlando medias I have bookmarked. I go to the WordPress blogs on Caylee and did click on TCD the other day and it led me to a new domain, I think its called. So, all is well and new and, hopefully, going well for her from now on. That’s what I want because she is a good person, too. Except when you make her mad-lol!
I hope Dis can return, too.
Talk to you later, friend!
And, yes, I will miss everyone there but I do see them around on the blogs.
Beatrice // September 22, 2009 at 6:27 pm
I have a suspicious mind today and hope it is very very
wrong but it bothers me that the same scenerio as with
Lee and Casey possibly knowing something they will never reveal about each other, Ronald and Misty both know what happened to Haleigh and they wed as their “promise” to always protect each other. Ronald’s mom also “oddly enough” is standing behind Misty, (and her “differeent untruths”) which in doing so seems to be protecting her son. I do hope to see all this proven
an ill thought, and Haleigh is found alive and well.
Ronalds mom does seem more able to accept when it is pointed out so many discrepencies in Misty’s stories.
Marinade Dave // September 22, 2009 at 6:37 pm
Beatrice – It does seem like there’s a certain air of weirdness in the relationship between Lee and Casey, but I do believe that 90% of it came from the media, ever so suspicious and always in search of conspiracies. Same thing with Ronald and Misty. I mean, a whole world of weirdness opened up with those two and their toothless friends and relatives. See what I mean? I think a lot of that stemmed from the difference in age. Wasn’t that rape or child molestation? Ronald and Misty? And the mother being on crack and crystal meth and all? Unfortunately, people take that into consideration when it most likely had nothing to do with the crime.
Beatrice // September 22, 2009 at 7:12 pm
Dave, I am sorry your friend’s mom has passed on. Ina has written of her mom on her site. in kind caring heart. As does everyone who looses loved ones, Ina and her family will have their many sad moments and adjustments to make.
Marinade Dave // September 22, 2009 at 7:38 pm
She sent me an e-mail right away, Beatrice. No matter what, I am a very caring person and she shared a lot of nice stories about her mother with me over the past couple of years. She always went to visit Mama. I tried to comfort her as best I could. I know there are issues, but I am still a man with a heart and I would never walk away, especially at a time like this.
Beatrice // September 22, 2009 at 8:14 pm
Dave, you are indeed a man of “great heart”! My belief is that you would not want to be a man without one. I do not like to be with heart one minute and without the next, but it is hard to balance. Certainly, I would not want to be completely without, as an empty shell. If I was your grandmother, I would say “I am so proud of you”! But I am not your grandmother, so you can just imagine, “I am proud of you”
Marinade Dave // September 22, 2009 at 8:32 pm
Thank you, Beatrice. No matter what, heart trumps all, especially at times like this. No matter what the challenge or problem, friends are always friends.
Marinade Dave // September 22, 2009 at 9:13 pm
Beatrice – I’m sorry, I neglected to thank you, and I must tell you that you are way too young to be my grandmother.
Beatrice // September 23, 2009 at 1:36 am
Perhaps you are “Braveheart”!!
Dis // September 23, 2009 at 3:44 am
Hey Jules! I saw your post and wanted to comment because I can tell it is bothering you that I was banned. I don’t even know if I was but I don’t want to go back. I will miss all the regulars over there and I wish it could have happened different. (Like it was my choice…LOL) I also don’t think it’s fair to Dave to use his open forum as my personal blog. TCD was only the second blog that I regularly commented on and it was really fun for awhile. I will see Justice For Caylee to the end but I don’t know in what capacity. I think we were both treated unfairly, many times when others made comments that were even the slightest against TCD, I spoke up and always tried to protect Express et al….the thing with 2shado really hurt my feelings and I feel rediculous for even admitting it but it did. The night we were discussing “the virus” I am almost for sure I stated that it had nothing to do with TCD. I feel like she got mad about what I said about the ad. All of a sudden there is a rule to not complain about the ads or talk about virus’. I would not feel comfortable always worried about getting in trouble when the rules are made up as we go along. That is Express’ perogative but it is not fair. I do want you to know that your friendship as well as my involvement with the case has helped me in ways that you will never know. I know I talk about myself alot….LOL…but I DO hold back believe it or not…LOL…I don’t even know why I am laughing but I do have a great life and a dream of a husband and they are the ones who need me….Caylee will have the Justice that she deserves…I believe that with all my heart…and as I said the other day I have really enjoyed our time together and I am sure I will see you around come trial time and who knows Express may open the gates by then…LOL Via Con Dios my friend.
Julie // September 23, 2009 at 10:10 am
Dis-I’m sorry that all of this happened & sad to see you leaving. I hope to bump into you on one of these blogs someday. You’re a funny & great friend.
I thank Dave for the use of his Open Forum through this. I too felt guilty using it for our personal issues & apologize to Dave for that. I was still very new here when all of this came up.
Take care Dis. Come say hi to me & Sherry once in a while.

Funny Sherry! I was halfway through the second round before I realized it had reset!
Hey Jules! Haven’t seen you comment in awhile, I checked TCD and there was only a couple short ones. I hope your RA isn’t giving you too hard of a time. Is it rainy there? The moisture really bothers mom in law…it’s probably good we live in a dry climate for her sake. I saw that the boys were sick too, I hope you all are in better shape by now. Talk to you later!
I have really been enjoying reading all the old threads. There are some very caring and funny people who post on this blog. This case is very sad and it is hard to remember that these people lost a precious baby at times. The people who post on this blog do remember that though and it says alot about what kind of people you all are. I just wanted to say that because I got lost in my anger and frustration over the bizarre circumstances of this case and I on a regular basis made fun of them and I told myself it was ok because of what they had done, it’s not ok and I’m glad that I was able to see that. I had been feeling that way for awhile and I had stopped commenting on the case for the most part. I want to thank all of you who participate in this blog for the efforts to being respectful and compassionate. And a very BIG THANKS to Dave for keeping you all in line in the nicest way. I have learned a lot from reading past posts and Dave, you are one hell of a guy! A true gentlemen that doesn’t just act the part. That’s who you are. No wonder all these women have crushes on you!!!

Even saw Eleanor at a car show. It was the orginal car used in “Gone in 60 Seconds.” A pro ball player bought it for somewhere in the tune of $141,000.00!!!!

Yes, but I’ve got some snooping around to do in order to write my pice. I just got off the phone with James Thompson, the computer guy and I’m trying to verify something he told me. I need to go back to that Walmart store in order to find out. Plus, I’ve got something related that needs to be researched.
Marinade Dave // October 7, 2009 at 10:00 am
That’s very interesting, ThinkerBelle. I used to go to bluegrass festivals in New Jersey. It’s a style of music that’s popular everywhere, I think. I’m glad you had a great time.
ThinkerBelle // October 7, 2009 at 10:19 am
Wow, you are following up on the computer guy!
Why did he wait so long to report the sighting?
Is Snoopy going to pose for the reenactment of what he saw?
Where is that beany toy?
Was he trying to get to Casey through Caylee?
Uh oh…maybe I should go with you on the interview! Lol!
Laura // October 7, 2009 at 10:34 am
Dave are we believing that he seen her on the 16th? If we do then did Casey duct tape and put Caylee in the trunk some where other then the comfort of home? I just figured he was boosting business. In his statement he saw her around lunch time, the other day on the news he said after 4. He just gave his statement in july and the story already changed!
Marinade Dave // October 7, 2009 at 10:36 am
I did ask him a few questions, some he answered and some he didn’t, but I am working on the post now and I will answer those questions there. I have more work to do before I write it because I need to fill in some blanks.

Does anyone remember what time Casey was at Blockbuster with Tony on the 16th, without Caylee?

I’m working on that, Laura. I don’t know if I trust him, either.

on Kruezer’s Korner. I hope you can give the guy a break
and find compliment to his upstanding character for coming forth.
Laura // October 7, 2009 at 3:45 pm
I am sure the man is nice. I don’t really have any issues other then he waited 1 year and has already changed the time from 12 to after4. I question those things because I am curious as to why he has already changed the time. I will reserve the rest of my opinion until Dave is done answering all my questions.
Beatrice // October 7, 2009 at 3:59 pm
Laura, Wasn’t aware he had changed any time, but haven’t read a lot on him for a couple of days. Yes, will put Dave’s write up fore front also. Thought it interesting that he wrote and I try to first give benefit of doubt. At this point remembering what Roy Kronk went through, it is also familiar that the LE paid no attention. If they had made more out of RK discovery in the first
place, little Caylee’s remains would not have laid out there for months more.
snoopysleuth // October 7, 2009 at 4:04 pm
Laura~~Is there a possibility that Casey was at the computer store around 12 but he saw her at the Walmart around 4 pm? I must go back and check his statement. Yes, it will be very good to hear what Dave can find out.
Laura // October 7, 2009 at 4:08 pm
He said on the news the other day he saw her at Walmart after 4. I agree Beatrice, Roy was put through hell. That is not what I am doing, I question the change in the story. I am so glad Roy did not give up!
Marinade Dave // October 7, 2009 at 4:10 pm

Beatrice // October 7, 2009 at 4:19 pm
I have thought that in his observation that day he was
touched by a behavior he found unpleasant re: Casey with Caylee, but acutally he saw nothing criminal. Nothing he had that he could make accusation of in relationship to the murder itself. Can this fall into and add to circumatantial, or possibly tossed by both Prosecution and Defense. I suppose it places much question in the amount of time Casey had to commit the crime “that day”!
Laura // October 7, 2009 at 4:30 pm
That is exactly why I have questions. Cell pings show her leaving home after 4 that day, so if she did go to Walmart that means she must have killed Caylee somewhere other then home. I cannot imagine duct taping and putting a child in the trunk, but if I was to do it, it would not be out in the open. I always thought the actual crime happened at home. Do you see where I am coming from? She did not go to Tony’s until after 7. I am pretty sure that is what Tony said. I also think Casey told le she waited for ZG and when she didn’t show up she went to familiar places for the nanny then went to Tony’s when she could not find Caylee.
Beatrice // October 7, 2009 at 7:00 pm
Laura, I do see where you are coming from. If between
4 and 7 she went home. I have not questioned if it has
been stated that anyone else was home during those three hours. Now I wonder if she did not use the duct tape from home, but may have purchased her own at Wal Mart that afternoon. It is most difficult to invision, Caylee as haveing been trailing behind her mother, while mother was thinking about murdering her.
Perhaps just such thought has ripped at Mr. Thompson’s heart also.
Laura // October 7, 2009 at 7:10 pm
I think Cindy gets home from work around 5. It is shocking to think someone would let their 2 year old walk 10 feet behind them. Gosh I remember when my oldest was 8 she held onto the cart my four year old had her hand in my back pocket and newborn twins was in the cart. Thank God for my mom going to the store to actually push the grocery cart. I think he may have seen her a different day at Walmart. jmo
Beatrice // October 7, 2009 at 11:04 pm
Laura, you could be right, because if she did not leave
home until around 12:30 or so, to be coming out of WM
that same day at around noontime, isn’t putting it together. I first thought his time related to his store
around noon a week earlier and WM around 4pm on 16th.

I had no idea what it was about initially, but Morgan Freeman is my favorite actor and he’s in it. The little girl was a real cutey, too, just like Caylee.
Julie // October 10, 2009 at 10:21 am
Dave-I left a post about that movie on here—-was it similar? The person who wrote about the movie said a heart sticker was used on the missing toddler’s mouth, what was the meaning of the heart in the movie??? I can’t wait to hear…..!

Actually, the heart sticker really has no bearing on this case. There was no match to all of the stickers OCSO took from the home, and its placement looks more like a marker for where the end of the tape is on the roll.
Just like Karen Cowen could see the outline of Caylee’s body in the trunk on her computer so did I see the sticker outline on mine. Fontaine saw it, too, and that is good enough for me. But, just as Cowen was told not to make anything of it so, neither will I. It just had no match to other stickers if it was checked and its placement was not over the mouth for sure.

Broward County Fl. Youths set another youth on fire and
laugh about it. Horrible crimes everywhere, what is going
on. Is it because of the Anthony case, we focus more on
other crimes in this state, and less on other states. Is
Florida anymore dense in population than other states.
Does the economy, people feeling less secure bring on more crime everywhere.
snoopysleuth // October 13, 2009 at 9:23 pm
Beatrice~~he is burned over 80% of his body. They doused him with either alcohol or gasoline.
Marinade Dave // October 13, 2009 at 9:24 pm
I think it’s like this everywhere, Beatrice. It’s the Anthony case that makes crimes in Florida seem more prevalent. I like to say it’s no different from when I bought my first Volvo. All of a sudden, I started seeing Volvos everywhere. Murders happen in Chicago, but there’s no Casey Anthony there. In Broward and Miami-Dade, there’s more gangs, too. That almost sounds gang related.
snoopysleuth // October 13, 2009 at 9:24 pm
He jumped into a swimming pool. It is the only thing that kept him from being burned to death. He may not survive as it is.

Snoopy, How does crime in USA compare to crime rate in Canada? More, less, same? Are the laws and punishment in Canada similar. I notice, no remorse, no guilt, no excuses, no fear of punishment in so many of our youth
who have committed crimes here.
snoopysleuth // October 14, 2009 at 5:12 pm
Beatrice~~Crime in big cities is everywhere even in Canada. There are so many gang wars and drugs. I am thankful that I live in a country setting away from the city. Miami, Florida has an unusally high crime rate and I expect it is heavily populated.

FYI~~Dave just called and he had to take his dad to the hospital. He is there now and his mom is with him. It seems that Dave’s dad has had a heart attack. They may have a long wait before they get a bed for his dad so Dave will be tied up most of this evening.

Dave, sorry to hear about you father. Guess Beatrice said it all in her prayer for you and your family.
I know what it is like to have aging parents that are going through the same things. My father has been having heart attacks for the last 20 years. They put in a pacemaker a couple of years ago. Then he goes out and starts tilling a garden to plant about 30 tomatoe plants; strange, since he is the only one the actually eats tomatoes in his house. Guess he likes to compete with his brother who does a huge garden each year.
Anyway, he shook something loose and almost died!

Balloon is down, no child inside.
snoopysleuth // October 15, 2009 at 4:39 pm
Beatrice~~I saw when the balloon landed. They are trying to question the little brother of the boy because they are not sure he was in the balloon.
Sherry // October 15, 2009 at 5:36 pm
He wasn’t in the balloon and he is missing.
Now they think the little guy crawled into a wooden box that was attached to the balloon which FELL OFF! They are showing a picture of this box falling to the ground-at least they are thinking it is THE box. Keep praying!

Balloon Boy Found in Box
Beatrice // October 15, 2009 at 7:54 pm
You know Snoopy, I laughed too, but you can see the media is taking swings at the whole thing. I just can’t help but think the family has taught them something worth while because Fallon went and hid because he was scared, he did something wrong. At least this father spends time with his sons, not a deadbeat dad at all!! One time when we left home one of my sons age 8 put a candle in a bottle we had stored gasoline in and lit it, to see how far it would fly. He had been told not to mess with his dad’s bottles. Fortunately he was not killed. It did blow up but he had moved far enough back, only small cuts. I wonder how many people this child brought to prayer today! That’s part of the good news!
snoopysleuth // October 15, 2009 at 8:55 pm
Beatrice~~I was watching that balloon flying along on tv and praying so hard. I thought the little guy was going to get banged up in that basket. Then I thought of it hitting high tension wires.
Kid have no fear and are so curious. Thank God, this young fella can sleep in his own bed tonight.

I read the article. How do you feel about the Sunshine Law? I think its a good thing to have open government, but as it applies to this case and other criminal cases… this seems a bit extreme to me…..your thoughts?

Dave – Are you planning to create a separate post for discussion of the most recent depositions? Or should they be made in the open forum. I am curious about the thoughts of others regarding their content, as opposed to other depositions, interviews with LE, and television interviews.
I realize fully that the Anthonys are not on trial, and am not looking to villify them. I just find the “evolution” over the past year to be quite interesting and would like to read other people’s objective comments.
Marinade Dave // October 20, 2009 at 10:13 pm

Beatrice // October 22, 2009 at 10:22 pm
Vicky, I totally understand, but I have not found the Anthonys to actually state that anyone of the people mentioned killed Caylee. What they have done is name anyone who could have also had opportunity. They themselves had opportunity to kill Caylee, didn’t they?? They have also been accused, lied about, ” Cindy drowned Caylee” I’ve heard that more than once. I for one, hearing that my grandchild had association with anyone who had been involved with the occult, past, or not, I would certainly check it out. That is not a lie, that is not stating they really did anything to Caylee. In the end they will have to come to terms with what has really happened, nobody else is going down that road. Not one of these people will ever actually be run over by the bus, so to speak. Nobody but the Anthony family is going to have to live or die with all of it in the end. Caylee is the one that is already dead, that is their grandchild. Those who have been pointed at, will
never really face “prosecution” for their innocence. Some have played ouch, and want their rescue. Most will make their story profitable. Caylee is hardly ever mentioned anymore. Again, those who “suspected”
and stated maybe Cindy drowned Caylee in the family
pool, not Casey. Is that not considered a lie in likeness
to what she is accused of lying. She didn’t do it, or did she???? I am just trying to say, we are all screwed up
over this and at least they have a reason to be.

Beatrice – I have given a great deal of thought to this very sad situation and for the first time in my life read and commented on a blog. Not because I wanted to villify the Anthonys, but because I wanted to try to begin to understand what happened to this beautiful child and to this family.
In many ways, I agree with what you are saying. However, I have read the transcripts and there were so many things stated by the Anthonys that simply aren’t true. Theories and/or speculation or not. Had the Anthonys only stated that there were other people who might have had the opportunity to kill Caylee, I would not take issue with them. Had they simply refused to accept that their child was not capable of harming her child, I could completely understand. Had they insisted that they were waiting for her guilt or innocence to be proven in a court of law without pointing fingers at innocent people, I could live with that. But, IMO they have gone far beyond that.
I agree, their lives will never be the same once this trial is finally over. You are correct, they have lost their precious grandchild and it will take many years, if ever, for them to come to terms with the circumstances of Caylee’s death.
However, I think you underestimate the damage they have done to the young people they have named as suspects. Their lives will most likely never be the same either. Yes, they will move on, but I can assure you they have each experienced a loss of innocence that they can never reclaim. Their ability to trust, I will assure you has been severely compromised. They have been forced to learn some really tough lessons in life, that were it not for their association with Casey, they may have never been forced to experience.
You have asked for empathy for the Anthony family and I will get to that in a few. In the meantime, can you imagine the fear Caseys friends felt when it occured to them that they were under suspicion of murder? Can you imagine what it must feel like for them to know that documents released to the public imply that they some how conspired to kill Caylee and then worked together to cover it up? Can you imagine how they have felt with the suggestion that one of them is the infamous Zanny the Nanny?
They must live with having been forced to prove their innocence for a crime they played no part in. They will have to live with the fact that they partied with a young woman who by all indications killed her child and never noticed any indication that something was wrong. Or that their friend was in such pain and that because of their partying, etc. they failed to see any signs that might have saved Caylee’s life.
Fortunately I have never had to deal with this type of tragedy in my personal life and pray to God I never will. I have tried my best empathize with the Anthonys. There are times when I have been successful and times when try as I might, I have been unable to do so.
I too have a son and a duaghter. I also have three beautiful grandchildren. One just a little younger than Caylee.
When my first grandchild was born, I was startled by the fact that I could love him just as much as I love my own child. So, I understand how much they love both their daughter and their granddaughter. I also know that you can love your child unconditionally and still realize that he/she might commit an unfathonable act. I can even understand living in complete denial.
However, I also know that without absolute proof, I would never put another family through the same rollercoaster I was going through in order to defend my child. If nothing else, I would leave that to the professionals.
I think I’ve said enough for now and want you to know that I sincerely respect you and your perspective, even if we are not in complete agreement.
Vicky // October 23, 2009 at 12:36 am
Beatrice – I began to answer you, but my first installment is lost in cyberspace. Maybe it was too long. LOL. Hopefully, it will find its way back.

snoopysleuth // October 24, 2009 at 1:50 pm
Dave just asked for all the animosity to cease!
As a blogger, alot goes on behind the scenes that commenters are unaware of. Some of us bloggers get together and arrange to help each other. Some of us are asked to take over a blog while the other is writing. This may come across as one particular blogger trying to take over the others for their own personal gain.
Behind the scenes, we also share information and offer advice to each other. It is almost impossible to have this contact without developing a close friendship.
When we are commenting back and forth on a particular post, making jokes or even flirting, it is quite innocent but may not appear as such to the reader. I think this is where alot of confusion may arise. I doubt if any of us want to become romanticly involved with each other.
In any blog there will always be a conflict of personalities. When this happens, it is best to elide over their comments unless you are the moderator. He/she will deal with them to the best of their ability.
Since I do not participate in any back and forth bashing, as it is a lost cause and only creates further disharmony, I will leave alot unsaid.
I hope everyone had a great day.

Dave, I am still catching up on your posts from the Day at The Court House. Very impressive that so many follow your reports. Guess you now know why a country gal from southern Iowa always reads what you post. Re: Fair Trial. I don’t see how Casey CANNONT get a fair trial. Although the media has tried the case, and as a media juror, I find her guilty as charged. However, were I called upon to sit on the jury in Orlando on this case, it would be the information provide in court in which I would make my decision. I fully believe the jurors selected in this case will do the same. I would love to see you as one of the jurors, because I have no doubt about your ability to close the door on what you have heard, read, thought and felt about this case, and start fresh with what is presented in the court room. While Marinade Dave is a very special type of person, I have no doubt there are eleven other Dave types in Orlando.

shylogh, putting my nose iln your business but….my husband gained custody of his sons and one was an outlandish liar. Good, kind, boy but whoppers. I went to making light of his stories by saying I thought he was talking out of his ear…..not his mouth….it kind of opened a door for him to turn and say “that was talking out my ear” or for me to ask “Is that the truth or are you talking out your ear.”
Don’t know how much you are around the child or if there is hope and kind of jumped the gun on your statement. Just know how difficult it can be. We made a lot of progress by giving this child an out….talking out his ear !! lol And to this day that is what he says….naahhhh….I’m talking out my ear.
Vicky // October 26, 2009 at 12:34 am
Sherry – I just wandered in here for a few. Thanks for the complement re my comment to Beatrice. There has been so much “collateral damage” done in this case.
I can’t and won’t attempt to rationalize the Anthonys apparent lack of remorse for what they are doing to these young people in their attempt to save their daughter.
Sherry // October 26, 2009 at 1:08 am
And no one should, Vicky!
They are beyond the pale. You know, if anyone else did what they are doing they would get the same from an angry public. I just don’t get why they should be any different than anyone else.
Their lives would have been so much easier if they had just stated the truth and not pointed the finger at anybody else to the extent they have.
Beatrice says that the Ants have never accused any of these kids-then why the investigation of them by PI Casey of which info was filled with false accusations?
Sorry, Vicky, I really could go on. I’m glad you are here. You are very good at stating what you mean to say in a realistic way. God bless, you, Caylee’s friend!
See ya on the morrow!
Beatrice // October 26, 2009 at 2:50 am
Sherry, I understand your feelings are uncomfortable toward me and what I have commented. I only base my remarks on what I thought was the fact that PI Casey was inquiring for the Anthonys because all these people had been close to Casey and Caylee. I was considering as I would within my own family acquaintances,. If anything so unbelieveable were to happen, that I would have a right to find out all I could. That is why I said I had never heard them actually saying that any one of these people had “killed Caylee.” Surely, If I had been a close person to a daughter of anyone or their grandchild, and they are in such a situation, they may see me as someone to have looked at. “BECAUSE I MAY HAVE HAD OPPORTUNITY”!!! I just do not find that unusual, and I believe they would have every right to investigate me. None of this means anything except a different perspective, that’s all. I do have a tendency to try and consider both sides. I am not a seramonious Christian. I do believe in God and Creation, but that is MY belief and standards that are only important to me! Another does not need to even consider agreement. I am not a congregational religious. If the Anthonys lie, is one thing. If they lie to cover up just because they KNOW what happened, then to me, is is not the right thing to do, but they will surely be brought to pay for anything of that nature. You know Sherry, I have many times had remarks directed at me to indicate that I just do not follow the patterns of others. That’s fine. I do not need to comment, and I would never be one to suggest a commenter be ignored or passed over because they say something I do not agree with. I never came here to hurt anyone or to be thought of as an obstacle to this blog. I have been hurt too, and don’t even know any of you. Those that have done it either know they have or they do not. that is their thing. I do not belong to a two or three friendship to back me up on anything I have been offended by. A blog does not belong to any one except the owner. Out of that respect to him. (He works too hard at this, and not well. ) for me to continue to cause anyone on here a disturbance ( They pop up all the time without me) is not good. Today was one of the most cordial days for a long time, and I thought it was very nice for everyone. I am sure you are a very wonderful person and I wish you well. you have a great amount of insight to offer on this case and I respect your
personal way of expressing it.
Beatrice // October 26, 2009 at 5:51 am
Amy, Jesse, Tony, Ricardo (anyone else?) have given their statements, I think they will all be called by the State to testify. They have told the truth!! How is it known for sure that they have been absolutely factual and have not withheld one little thing that would, if known, keep them from being a credible witness for the prosecution. How do we know that it may not be found that one has lied, or I should say “told the whole truth”? It certainly does not appear at this time that the defense is concerned about what one (or all ) might testify to. This is not trying to make statements or lies about them, it is just a question.

Marinade Dave // October 26, 2009 at 10:11 am
To interject here and to keep the peace, I think we can agree that there are some areas where the defense will try to pick apart some of the testimony and credibility of some of the witness. Just like the defense did to Mark Fuhrman about ever using the “N” word, Amy may be questioned over her denial of using or dispensing drugs like Xanax that some of her other friends stated she did or might have.
Sherry // October 26, 2009 at 10:27 am
You know, Beatrice, I am glad you are a Christian-I rejoice in the Lord for that. I am just amazed that you would downplay the implications Cindy, a Christian, has made concerning these people-Amy, Jesse and his mother and father (she wants to bring Richard down), Ricardo, and Tony. She goes so far as having PI Casey investigate them and he finds dirt, most of which doesn’t even belong to these folks, but Cindy runs with it. Investigating them is one thing, to run with the dirt and to point the finger at them in the depo and to LE/FBI is another. Isn’t that bearing false witness? Is that putting God’s Law above her own flesh and blood, which, as Christians we are to do? Does Cindy impress you as someone seeking the truth? In my discernment I sure don’t see that.
I hope you are praying for her true salvation! I am.

I may not get back in until this evening sometime… gonna take a break to do some indepth research…
Vicky // October 26, 2009 at 10:42 am
Beatrice – I completely respect your point of view and enjoy hearing it. Your ability to seek and find the goodness in others, regardless of how it might appear is truly amazing, and you obviously live what you believe. Your thoughts alllow be to step back and gain perspective. In no way do I expect for you to agree with me or any thought I have. That is what makes thoughtful excahnge of ideas so wonderful. If we all shared the same opinions, there would really be nothing much to discuss.
As I said before, there are many things the Anthonys have gone through that break my heart. I would not want to walk in their shoes for a million dollars. I personally am glad that you comment here. You remind me to stay focused on Justice for Caylee.
Please don’t stop commenting. Your thoughts are much appreciated and remind me often that there are two sides to every story!
Sherry // October 26, 2009 at 11:44 am
Please, don’t go, Beatrice. My heart does break for Cindy and all she is going through. Its just that her antics go beyond the court of man’s law now and you know what I mean.
I need a break from this case. Perhaps I should just close my eyes to what Cindy is doing? IDK.
Forgive me, Beatrice, for having offended you.

Hello to all! I recognize a few, and hope y’all recognize me in return!
Just wanted to say that before I actually post a comment!!
LJ // October 26, 2009 at 12:14 pm
Sorry, marinadedave. By the way-hello to you! I have just made one comment and I am already in moderation? I’m fairly new to blogging so please tell me what I’ve done wrong! I will be good from here on out.
Marinade Dave // October 26, 2009 at 12:14 pm
Hello, LJ. I recognize you. Welcome.
Marinade Dave // October 26, 2009 at 12:17 pm
Hello! If you’ve never commented before, LJ, you first go into moderation. It’s to filter out the riff raff and trust me, there’s been lots of that lately. You should be free to comment now. Sometimes, comments go into spam for no reason. Just so you are aware. I let them out when I see them.
LJ // October 26, 2009 at 12:21 pm
Dave, thanks for the welcome!
My only intention when I began posting was because the story of Caylee so tugged at me, and it still does; Caylee has become an icon for all the children who suffer a terrible fate at the hands of adults. It is so depressing that it is almost considered trendy to put one’s self in the news or spotlight by abusing or murdering children!! These people are such COWARDS!!!!
LJ // October 26, 2009 at 12:23 pm
Dave, again thanks! I’m so glad to know that I am not riff-raff! lol. I’d bet the farm there has been a lot of it lately, though.
Marinade Dave // October 26, 2009 at 12:25 pm
Yes, LJ, there has been a lot of riff raff lately, like never before. I think Caylee has become a symbol, but unfortunately, there have been so many over the years.
LJ // October 26, 2009 at 12:29 pm
Yep, that is so disgustingly true, dave.
LJ // October 26, 2009 at 12:33 pm
dave, once again, I very much appreciate your welcome here! I believe I will find some “old” friends on this blog, but tell ‘em I’m not referring to their age! If I don’t make it back today, I hope you and all the “no-life” ($indy-not me!) bloggers here have a great afternoon!
Marinade Dave // October 26, 2009 at 1:07 pm
I’m sure you will find many old and new friends here, LJ, and come back whenever you have the time. Thank you for joining in.
Michele // October 26, 2009 at 1:53 pm
I wish I could’ve found you a year ago. The WFTV website is full of big time haters and I haven’t. gone back on there for that reason.
I love your unbiased opinions and happen to agree 100% most everything I’ve read so far. I’ll have to catch up. I was especially happy to read your opinion of the $300 cruise they went on. “Who care?” is what I had said. I was attacked after that one.
I really am thrilled to be able to converse with people who discuss the case without the usual Anthony-hating drama found on the WFTV site.
I’ll be back!
Marinade Dave // October 26, 2009 at 2:00 pm
Please make yourself at home, Michele. There are lots of opinions here and things sometimes get heated, but never does it get disgusting like some of those other sites that allow it. No one moderates the WFTV site. That’s why it gets so out of hand. Thank you.
LJ // October 26, 2009 at 2:20 pm
Y’know all, I have also found myself “hating” on G & S. I mean, IMO, they have said and done some things that many people would hate. As a mom with a daughter who exhibits many of casey’s characteristics, and a grandma of 6, I cannot fathom what any of these people are going through. I don’t have to like some of their actions and reactions, and I can say to any one of them, “I sure wouldn’t do that! I sure wouldn’t say that.” But if I dig deep, and be honest with myselffirst and foremost, I can say with the utmost sincerity that I have no idea what I would do or say in their shoes.Thank God that is a place that I am not! I’ve been in a situation where, because of loyalty, felt that I either had to sacrifice my kid or my grandkid. In retrospect, I didn’t sacrifice either – it wasn’t about me. When it comes to defending an adult vs. a defenseless child with no reasoning capacity, the child will “win” everytime. Thanks for listening!!
LJ // October 26, 2009 at 2:26 pm
Hey Michele! I am new here as well! I cannot post on the thread about Zenaida’s myspace because of filters etc on this computer, so I will be here in the OF room today. I just wanted to put a howdy out there to ya!

Hi LJ and Michele welcome, LJ i totally unstand about the child prevail but I think Cindy is saying Caylees gone cant do anything about that but Casey which is still here and her child she will try to move heaven and earth for at this time. We all see how thats going.
Fostermom2 // October 26, 2009 at 2:55 pm

LJ // October 26, 2009 at 3:22 pm
Fostermom2
That is probably exactly what cindy is thinking. I really question people’s motives though, although who really knows? Maybe being thrust into this situation by Casey, they have no motives. Maybe their motives are to just make it through each day. I can understand why, though, they seem to be very hated across the land. Is their judgment off? Sure, it is! I suppose mine would be given the same circumstances. I just hope that foremost in the A’s mind is justice for Caylee, no matter how difficult the outcome.

LJ..are you elljay? lol Howdy! This is a great blog. If you have a question or a comment, Dave responds to all of them. He’s the best! And a big Howdy to Michelle too! I am a serial lurker but I read this blog everyday. WFTV is CRAZY!!!! I posted a comment one day and I was attacked for two pages. lol I haven’t been over there in awhile, it’s very cliqueish (sp). Dave, oops! Sorry; I can’t even get my S.N. right!
Michele // October 27, 2009 at 1:00 pm
Thanks all.
Dis. I got attacked on a regular basis meanwhile I was one of the first ones on there and invented the name “Bozo”. Then they ran me out of dodge…Go figure.
I don’t care for the Anthony’s or their antics. But, I also won’tt judge or attack them. I think they were too lenient and enabled their daughter. A lot of parents do nowadays. I don’t think either thought their daughter was capable of murder> I wonder what Casey told them that has them hell bent on defending her now. Is it guilt? They weren’t defending her in the beginning if any of you recall> I wonder if she told them it was an “accident”( not by our dictionary, but maybe by Casey’s…. Maybe she told them she only meant to drug Caylee and then she duct taped her mouth so she couldn’t scream in the event she woke up… but didn’t mean to kill her..it’s still child abuse by our standards and murder)
Again, I do not condone any of their actions. I’m just trying to understand what may have happened and understand their complete 360..defending Casey.
Sherry // October 27, 2009 at 1:16 pm

I enjoy reading all of your comments. You all have such great insight into this case. I do have a question and would love an answer……are there any facts that Cindy, George or Lee helped in anyway to knowingly destroy or tamper with evidence or is it just a feeling that they have? Thanks for your help…….
snoopysleuth // October 27, 2009 at 3:27 pm
carole~~Cindy did admit giving a hairbrush to LE that was used for both Casey and Caylee. She said she didn’t bother to go to the bathroom to get the brush solely used for Caylee.
Cindy did take things from the trunk of the car to air them out and sprayed the trunk with Fabreeze. She also washed Casey slacks that were found in the car. Cindy admitted to doing these things too,.
Other than the above, there has not been anything released by discover that shows the Anthony’s destroyed or tampered with evidence.
This also does not include any lying under oath.
Law enforcement has not released everything so they may have something to prove obstruction of justice.
carole // October 27, 2009 at 3:37 pm
Thank you Snoopy…..I struggle so much with the behavior of George, Cindy and Lee….I just don’t understand why they don’t just stand back, love their daughter, hate her actions, and let the law do their job.
Sherry // October 27, 2009 at 4:04 pm

Question for JWG (hope you see it!)
According to your research
:http://websleuths.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4325908&postcount=314
You have the order of the pieces as following- Q62 attached to Q63 attached to Q64 attached to Q64 attached to Q104 attached to Q66, the gas can tape.
What I am wondering is this-I saw the perfect outline of the heart shape on the Q63 tape, located on the right edge of the sticky side and the left edge of the non-sticky side and believe it could have marked the edge of the tape on the roll. Not meaning to undo your work but is it possible that Q63 was the edge of the roll and not Q104?
Please be gentle, I’m not trying to question your hard work, just wondering. TIA!
Dis // October 28, 2009 at 2:12 pm
Hi Everybody!!! I think we can all have sympathy for the Anthony’s for the loss of their grandaughter and at the same time demand justice be served for their grandaughter. I hate it when people say “You don’t know what you would do” because at the end of the day a person is either honest and forthcoming or they are a liar. Living in denial (Scott P’s mom) is different than out right twisting the truth and spewing hate for people who are trying to help. This is what they have done. Talk about callateral damage (thanks Vickie), losing a loved one does not excuse you of bad behaviour. I lost my temper the night my best friend died and took it out on someone for something that was none of my business. 2 yrs later, I still feel guilty and it was just a private rant on the phone. I hope G&C are in church and they really let Jesus take the wheel. Then and only then will they begin to heal. This person was not even a friend of mine but someone who I knew, she forgave me because I asked her to and I am grateful that she did, we are good friends now. I think the public in general (not the idiots) would forgive them if they really ask and stand up for the truth. I hope they do read the blogs because not all of them are negative. Thanks Dave!!!!!
Sherry // October 28, 2009 at 2:35 pm
I couldn’t agree more, Dis. That’s why the Anthonys are in my daily prayers-sometimes more than once a day. My heart grieves in two ways for them-that they have suffered a tremendous loss with a horrible life to boot, and that they are subverting justice for Caylee, unappreciative of those seeking it.
On 48 hours Cindy said that if the truth of who murdered Caylee leads to Casey, “then we will know the truth”; I’m hoping so, for their sakes as well as for Caylee’s sake.
Sherry // October 28, 2009 at 2:36 pm

Thinkerbelle // October 28, 2009 at 5:49 pm
Dave, how are you today? Hope you are well!
Just wanted to mention a post I found today while googling your name. It was written May 14th by a person that goes by the name of a vegetable soaked in vinegar…you know, long and green. Anywhooooo, they stated they didn’t like you because you and I were in cahoots, so to speak.
The article is written by a person whose name is like whatchmacallit, or something like that. Ends with a mo, that much I know. Oh, and starts with a wiz, only with a g. Irregardless, the English is as good as the author of several other articles on that same site, though the last name may be the same, the first has changed. How come? Me don’t know!
At any rate, me thinks this vegetable may have been the one dressed in the Halloween suit in front of the A’s home last summer. If not, then a close groupie of their [cult of] personality group dialogues.
I was banned from that site several months earlier for not taking the blame when another posted acted out…said I made it do it! Yeah! Right!
Just FYI
Marinade Dave // October 28, 2009 at 6:23 pm
Hi, Thinkerbelle – Yes, my dear, I am OK today. I hope you are, as well. I hope you weren’t looking for nude pictures of me when you Googled my name. None exist.

Thinkerbelle // October 28, 2009 at 6:43 pm
Apparently, after reading further down into the chat, they claim you had been on the blog stirring the pot perhaps sometime in March.
Maybe I am the troll they are referring to…I really don’t even know what a troll is!
snoopysleuth // October 28, 2009 at 6:44 pm
Dave~~when folks don’t even know who you are, that is the time to worry. Just keep in mind the reason for these folks forming their opinions. There is alot of competition and jealously in the blogging world, even among the realm of commenters.
I am an unknown except for a select few who come to my blog and leave some venom. They get quite frustrated when their poison is not displayed for public viewing. You noticed a sample of that recently. They used your blog as a platform.

Just on ABC News. A student at Yale U recorded this (Sam Tsui. It is a tribute to MJ — looks like a group but it actually is one guy cloned 6 times doing lead and backup vocals / medley of MJ songs. Really cool – caught the news’ attention – over 1 million hits:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R12QVtuB0_Q
Another of his songs cloned 4 times.
Thinkerbelle // October 29, 2009 at 4:12 pm
Dave, I am sorry to hear you are being stalked. I’m sure it will stop as soon as you figure out a way to produce the perfect human, the perfect society, yet explain every thought and emotion to your stalker as if you were incapable of having any form of cognitive dissonance.
My advice: Don’t change your number, go get a device that will log every incoming and outgoing call you make. Some will show up unknown; however, many of those will call at a certain time. Check your spare tire area and see if they have left you a small bundle of joy for your reading pleasure. Don’t be alarmed if they follow one of your parents and record them and play it back to you on your voicemail.
Inasmuch as this stalking may be illegal, it is up to you to prove it. You could hire a PI, but, more than likely they are merely flunkies themselves and will milk every dime they can out of the situation.
And, if they pull crossways on an interstate off ramp to prohibit your exit…ram them…odds are they won’t survive.

Dave – you’re being stalked and harassed at home by phone? Please file a police report if that’s possible! I can’t figure out who you guys are talking about – someone in Oregon or another country/continent? Is it that commenter from Michele’s link because those comments weren’t so bad that one would think that person would stalk you – unless I didn’t read enough. Lots of crummy things get said on blogs but stalking at home is criminal!

If you don’t want emails ..there is always the Spam option.
If they appear on your property, ask them to leave. If they don’t, call your local PD and they will remove them.
There are always solutions to every problem out there.
I know who it is…
Shadow // October 29, 2009 at 4:55 pm
Sherry, did you look at the first link under the text. That is the one with seven of him doing an MJ Medley.
snoopysleuth // October 29, 2009 at 4:59 pm
Dave~~you also have the option of sending an email to her husband. He has his own blog and seems to understand English. Her husband should be well aware of her mental state since he works in that field.
I must look at the custom laws for those planning a trip to another country in the near future.
Laura // October 29, 2009 at 4:59 pm
I agree with you Snoopy it is just sad he has to worry about this chit with his health issues! Shame on this person they should be ashamed!!
Sherry // October 29, 2009 at 5:00 pm
STILL her?
Oh, this is what you get for being a nice guy, Dave! Lonely women just attach to men like you and won’t let go no matter how much you dissuade them (and, no matter the tactic, even if you are downright nasty to them!).
I thought she was married with a wonderful son-why is she clinging so to you?
That is, if its HER….
Laura // October 29, 2009 at 5:03 pm
Dave we women have a ugly side when we get pissed, do guys? Maybe you should show her that side if you have one, but then again that is just ANOTHER time you have to communicate and obviously you are tired of that. I am working on options from I.T. hang in there. Ignore phone, ignore emails, and if the door bell rings for goodness sake HIDE!

Here you go Dave. You might want to try this.
How to stop harassing phone calls.

Marinade Dave // October 29, 2009 at 5:09 pm
Thank you, everyone. I have begged for some peace, some free time, a day with no e-mails. Nothing has worked. Definitely look into IT options, Laura.
snoopysleuth // October 29, 2009 at 5:12 pm
Sherry~~to top it off, I am being accused for having this woman banned. This woman did her best to stop Dave from blogging about the Anthony case. She also went in and disrupted the Health eConversation thread. She is jealous of Laura and she used to be jealous of Filipa. It has been ongoing for months. This woman also dug out info on another commenter who used to post here and drove the commenter away.
I know she is reading this. I hope her son reads here too so maybe he can talk to his mom and tell her to stop this foolishness.
snoopysleuth // October 29, 2009 at 5:16 pm
I havent even had a chance to read the new post…. things have been busy in the real.
Snoopy to the rescue….
Dave~~delete any comment of mine if you feel it is too explicit. There seems to be no secrets around here anymore.
Thinkerbelle // October 29, 2009 at 5:17 pm
Which commenter is it? Apparently it is no secret!
Thinkerbelle // October 29, 2009 at 5:20 pm
Surely Dave knows how to ban the IP…blocking the phone # would be no problem either.
Laura // October 29, 2009 at 5:21 pm
Dave if I may why do you keep giving chances? I fall off the wagon occasionally but I have NEVER done anything like this, it is NOT good for you! I think when I fall off the wagon it is because I know everything, and don’t doubt ever that I am always RIGHT! Okay. She is not good for you let it go, you can’t be friends with all. Listen to your little elephant or whatever she called me.
Thinkerbelle // October 29, 2009 at 5:23 pm
Dave, if this woman has a mental illness, there is nothing you can say or do to dissuade her thought processes. Please, just block this person.
Shadow // October 29, 2009 at 5:26 pm
Dave, this is one for harassing emails. It isn’t perfect science but I have used some of these tips and they work.

Marinade Dave // October 29, 2009 at 5:33 pm
Thanks. I’m done discussing (or disgusting) it.
Sherry // October 29, 2009 at 5:41 pm
I see there is more vids of him, Shadow. I will check it out.
(I watched it from here-didn’t go to YouTube-I’m there now loading that one you mentioned)
Marinade Dave // October 29, 2009 at 5:44 pm
Thanks, Shadow. I took a peek and I may look into one thing that stuck out.
Shadow // October 29, 2009 at 6:00 pm
YW Dave. As a former undercover narcotics officer, we used phone traps quite often to see who was calling our perps. However, I am only guessing that is what stood out to you.
Marinade Dave // October 29, 2009 at 6:06 pm
The phone calls emanate from outside of US territory, Shadow. The e-mail info was what stood out, actually.
Shadow // October 29, 2009 at 6:15 pm
Dave, I just posted something you might want to intercept and not let out of spam but copy and paste it. I won’t mind if you do that.
Marinade Dave // October 29, 2009 at 6:18 pm
Got it, Shadow. This is something I am very well aware of.
Sherry // October 29, 2009 at 6:19 pm
I say we invade her hubby’s blog and let him know hat she is doing! I’m in the mood for it!
Snoopy, she drove dear Filipa away! Her comments were so nonsensical most of the time. I remember her coming after others and saw that one comment she made about our elephant, I mean, Laura-talk about jealous!
Marinade Dave // October 29, 2009 at 6:25 pm
Actually, Filipa drove herself away by her incessant drivel. I never banned her or anything. She just took my hint and flew away. I got tired of the constant Anthony bashing and name calling and I said so. That’s all that was.
I don’t want to start any trouble and I just want it to end.
Shadow // October 29, 2009 at 6:48 pm
Dave, just wondering if you caught my goofy post at 9:55 this morning on the better Judge thread?
Marinade Dave // October 29, 2009 at 6:57 pm
I’ll have to look later, Shadow. I think I missed it.
Shadow // October 29, 2009 at 7:01 pm

Shadow // October 29, 2009 at 7:10 pm

Shadow // October 29, 2009 at 7:12 pm
Tinker, go over to the Judge thread I mentioned to Dave upthread here. I took care of the problem.
snoopysleuth // October 29, 2009 at 7:21 pm

Yes, TPS.
Sherry // October 29, 2009 at 7:56 pm
My apologies, Snoopy.
I was giving my impression of what she did to Filipa. I didn’t know that she left of her own accord. I didn’t say that you said she did that, dear heart.
Sherry // October 29, 2009 at 8:00 pm
I don’t understand, Snoopy.
I never said you said she drove anyone away.
Oh well, back to Sudoku.
Have a wonderful night, Caylee’s friends!
Marinade Dave // October 29, 2009 at 8:03 pm
Snoopy – You didn’t drive Filipa away. No one did. She left on her own after I told her I wouldn’t put up with bashing. She up and pulled her roots. Adios.

snoopysleuth // October 29, 2009 at 8:10 pm

Shadow // October 30, 2009 at 10:56 am
Dave, can you put the login up on the header? It is a bit hard to find.
snoopysleuth // October 30, 2009 at 10:56 am
Good morning Dave~~
It would be easier for you to do an edit for the link than me try to diplay html codes here and get everyone confused.
I have to get busy later and do some edits on the list of motions that Vicky was kind enough to put together. I just have it displayed in a comment box at my blog for the time being.. It is hard to believe she found 58 of them…
Back a bit later..
Marinade Dave // October 30, 2009 at 10:58 am
What login, Shadow?
Marinade Dave // October 30, 2009 at 10:59 am

Sherry // October 30, 2009 at 11:09 am
Good morning, Dave, and everyone!
Hope this is a good day for all!
Shadow // October 30, 2009 at 11:13 am
Dave, the WordPress login down under META on the right side.
Sherry, I believe you have to login to have your gravatar and website visible on the thread. Dave, yes, no???
Shadow // October 30, 2009 at 11:31 am
Sherry, otherwise as far as I can see you would have to type in your name and email address before you can comment. I don’t have to do that when I am logged into WordPress.
Marinade Dave // October 30, 2009 at 11:32 am
Shadow – I think your gravatar follows whatever e-mail address you attach to it. I don’t know if you have to be logged into WordPress to see it or not.
snoopysleuth // October 30, 2009 at 11:46 am
Go here to the main page of Word Press..Casey Anthony…
http://en.wordpress.com/tag/casey-anthony/
Up in the right hand corner, you will see your gravatar and log in name…that is the one in use
If you want to log out…check on your account and log out..
When you log back in, you can use another screen name, if you have one, plus your email address for that screen name.
Shadow // October 30, 2009 at 11:46 am
Just testing something Dave. Hope you don’t mind.
snoopysleuth // October 30, 2009 at 11:48 am
I should have added…they may ask for your password in lieu of email addy.
Marinade Dave // October 30, 2009 at 11:50 am
I don’t mind at all, Shadow. You might as well get as comfortable as possible here.
Shadow // October 30, 2009 at 1:05 pm
One more test Dave and I am done playing. I did find out that if you are logged into WordPress that you do not have to enter your name, email address and website when first coming on your blog. That also works on any other blog at WordPress.com as well. Above the comment box and below LEAVE A COMMENT it now says Logged in as Shadow. Logout.>>
Marinade Dave // October 30, 2009 at 1:11 pm
Well then you figured it out. I stay logged into WordPress at all times, until I clean out my registry, etc., of clutter. I view all comments in a different window, too. I see them all instead of just on each post. The only thing is, I can only see 20 at a time and when they are sent to another page (newest to oldest) I sometimes miss the 21st one and so on.That’s why I sometimes don’t answer one.
Shadow // October 30, 2009 at 1:15 pm
Dave, you can set how many you want to read to anything you want. In your dashboard under settings then reading you can reset it from 20 to whatever you want to see at one time.
Marinade Dave // October 30, 2009 at 1:18 pm
I know, but 20 is enough. It’s easier for me to scroll from page to page than through 50 comments.
Shadow // October 30, 2009 at 1:25 pm
Dave, can you send me a test email so I can see which account it is coming to. I just changed it in WordPress and I want to know if you can see it.

Valhill is so amazing how she figures all of this stuff out!
Julie // November 1, 2009 at 12:19 pm
Good morning Dave.
When you have a chance, check out the above link that I left. It puts to rest one of the Anthony family rumors. (I never believed it in the first place.)
lilyolily // November 1, 2009 at 3:13 pm
Julie – I bookmarked Valhall’s site for the last week or so – she is amazing. I heard about her from Blink’s site and I think she is probably a regular contributor to WS but I don’t comment there. When you put JWG, Valhall and Maura’s information together its pretty compelling.
Sherry // November 1, 2009 at 3:57 pm
Jules!
Thanks for posting that link. I agree with lilyolily concerning JWG, Maura, Valhall and Blink. They really do their research and are invaluable to this case.
I’ve got that link bookmarked in case I run into anyone who still wants to believe such a thing. Glad to see another rumor put to rest.
Have a great day Caylee’s friends!
Thinkerbelle // November 1, 2009 at 4:32 pm
JWG seemed to make a remark about the direction the conversation was going on the ‘Judge’ thread the other day. Just sayin’.
Sherry // November 1, 2009 at 5:11 pm
Yes, he did. But off topic convos here aren’t near as bad as other blogs.
I was on a comment line concerning a poll about Casey and I couldn’t wait to read everyone’s opinions. 500 plus comments! Well, it was all about a coon cat between a few ol’ timers of the blog. And there was a Backroom to go to. Others came on the comment line and asked them to take it to the BR. Boy, did they get beat up for saying that!
No one’s perfect and perhaps we need a bit of a reminder to go to OF since Dave has many more commentors and lurkers now.
Julie // November 1, 2009 at 5:21 pm
Sherry & Lily-I agree, their info is very compelling. They all do outstanding research! I never believed the George story before, and I was so thrilled that someone was able to research it enough to put the rumor to rest.
shirl // November 1, 2009 at 7:20 pm
Sherry just reading the latest, I dont usually comment but have to know, is there such a thing as a coon cat is it a racoon? And sorry for OF but anyone know who gorilla is, at cd is she the site owner, I know a blogger who uses the name gorilla girl I wondered if it was her? Thanks
Sherry // November 1, 2009 at 10:44 pm
Hi shirl!
Oh my! Please forgive me! I didn’t mean to overlook your comment-yikes!
Yes, it is a Maine Coon Cat.

Gorgeous kitties!
gorilla is just a commentor at cd’s. A really great guy. He got his monicker when he saw that a baby gorilla was killed by its own mother. No, he is not gorilla girl.
And The Caylee Daily is run by Express. Its a great site for the latest news. She keeps on top of quite a few cases and has the latest posted right away.
Hope you enjoy both TCD and here.
Again, I’m so sorry not to have seen your comment sooner, shirl. Welcome to Dave’s and please comment when you can.

If you tell the truth you don’t have to remember anything.

1) I don’t drink more than a very occasional glass of wine (not a ‘boozer’) as I’ve been accused
2) I wish someone would c&p our comments – please do
3) This has become a character assassination when all that’s been requested is a little relief from the weirdness
I was hoping this time would be different
Weezie // November 2, 2009 at 1:01 am
Lilyolily; Are you just pulling my chain here? This time would be different from WHAT? Who is assisinating you? And what weirdness do you refer to? I’m just an old kid from Canada eh and I don’t know much huh. I think this is just getting too much from your side. I tried all night to have some fun of which you have now in the midnight hour tried to make it something about you AGAIN. I give up. I hope my true friends here get it. If you don’t like to have joke and see the need to have a light hour in the course of a day then I suggest you take your very dark mood somewhere else. JMO. Of course Dave is not taking sides and I don’t blame him , but you are enough already.
Sherry // November 2, 2009 at 7:21 am
Amen to that, Weezie!
There you go again, lilyolily!
Aren’t you and anon1 proud of yourselves? Snoopy will no longer be here to help Dave out. Jump for joy!
Both you and anon1 read into things that just weren’t there. anon1 was wrong in her assessment of what transpired between Snoopy and Vicky. anon1 got all uptight because she thought Snoopy was bashing her for knitting and crocheting to help others. Her whole beef was, simply put, way off. Both of you are so selfish you showed no respect to Dave at all yesterday when he asked the idiocy to stop. And! You both broke the rules. You couldn’t take your beef to Dave via email and leave it in his hands? You both were an embarassment to all of us as well as Dave.
Maybe I shall go to Blinks today and c&p your comment there that said you weren’t going to comment anywhere else but at her blog?
Just be happy today-you two have pissed off more people than you know. You two look like dumba* now.
Weezie // November 2, 2009 at 9:18 am
Sherry; Thanks. Well before I go to take my SHOT of H1N1 I am going to post my last joke till I find some more. Here ya go…..
HAVE YOU EVER BEEN GUILTY OF LOOKING AT OTHERS YOUR OWN AGE AND THINKING, SURELY I CAN’T LOOK THAT OLD? WELL YOU HAVE. I KNOW YOU HAVE………YOU’LL LOVE THIS ONE! THIS IS A CLASSIC.
MY NAME IS ALICE SMITH AND I WAS SITTING IN THE WAITING ROOM FOR MY FIRST APPOINTMENT WITH A NEW DENTIST. I NOTICED HIS DDS DIPLOMA, WHICH BORE HIS FULL NAME.
SUDDENLY, I REMEMBERED A TALL, HANDSOME, DARK HAIRED BOY WITH THE SAME NAME THAT HAD BEEN IN MY HIGH SCHOOL CLASS SOME 30-ODD YEARS AGO.
COULD HE BE THE SAME GUY THAT I HAD A SECRET CRUSH ON, WAY BACK THEN?
UPON SEEING HIM, HOWEVER, I QUICKLY DISCARDED ANY SUCH THOUGHT.
THIS BALDING, GRAY HAIRED MAN WITH THE DEEPLY LINED FACE WAS WAY TOO OLD TO HAVE BEEN MY CLASSMATE, AFTER HE EXAMINED MY TEETH, I ASKED HIM IF HE HAD ATTENDED MORGAN PARK HIGH SCHOOL .
‘YES, YES I DID. I’M A MUSTANG! ‘ HE GLEAMED WITH PRIDE.
‘WHEN DID YOU GRADUATE?’ I ASKED
HE ANSWERED, IN 1957. WHY DO YOU ASK?
‘YOU WERE IN MY CLASS!’ I EXCLAIMED.
HE LOOKED AT ME CLOSELY.
THEN THAT UGLY,
OLD,
BALD,
WRINKLED,
FAT ASS,
GRAY HAIRED,
DECREPIT,
SON OF A BITCH ASKED…..
‘WHAT DID YOU TEACH?
Kim // November 2, 2009 at 9:24 am

Sherry // November 2, 2009 at 10:13 am
ROTFLMBO!!!
Thanks, Weezie!
I just love it when my hubby says he’s glad he doesn’t look as old as his old classmates. I always look at him with bewilderment! Huh, honey?!
I’ve been looking at alot of 49 year olds lately and think, Do I look that old? I hate answering myself on that one.
On a better note, today’s 50 is the new 40. Yipee!
Vicky // November 2, 2009 at 12:12 pm
Sherry & Weezie – I was 18 when I had my first child and people used to give me that “she’s too young to be a mother look” , when she started school other parents and/or children would ask her how old I was – So I told my kids I was ten years older than my actual age. It would shock the heck out of those nosey “ladies” when she told them I was 33 when I was actually 23 and they would tell me how young I looked for my age. LOL
Ofcourse my children know better now, but the moms of the other kids don’t. Now that I’m in my 50’s these same women just can’t figure out why I look so much younger than they do and I refuse to let them in on my secrete.
Thinkerbelle // November 2, 2009 at 11:08 pm
Dave, I forgot to mention how much I enjoyed the music on that one clip you made. Did I ever tell you my aunt once performed with Liberace? Yeah! She always played by ear…she was/is rather talented. She also played with James Brown, though she didn’t think he actually had any musical talent himself.
I can recall one of the first tunes I learned-Heart and Soul. Do you remember that one?
I guess you would know if something wasn’t on key if you did.

Thinkerbelle (from 2009/11/02 at 11:08pm) – Which clip are you talking about? The one with music from Last of the Mohicans? That’s interesting about your aunt. Does she still perform?
Which version of Heart and Soul are you mentioning? Huey Lewis and the News?
snoopysleuth // November 3, 2009 at 12:38 pm
Hi Dave~~I could not vote because I don’t have a zip code …
I lost my power last nite from 10pm and didn’t come back on ’til around 1am so went to bed. There was a vehicle accident about a mile from here and it must have sheared off a pole. To top it off, when the power snapped off, it did something to my oil furnace so am waiting for tech to come. We have a cold rain here but I have back-up electric heaters.
Someone made a voodoo doll of Snoopy and are sticking pins in it. Lot of negatives going on in the real world added to all the other makes for a real good headache…take care.
Laura // November 3, 2009 at 12:55 pm
Snoopy, I hope your headache goes away. Don’t worry about what happened here. You know you are loved by many and you know you have real friends here! We appreciate all your knowledge of this case and I for 1 LOVE YOUR HUMOR!!!! I hope stuff at home gets better quick!
jilligan45 // November 3, 2009 at 12:59 pm
Oh good gravy Snoopy! Stay warm. be safe and I will vote twice, once for you!
Kim // November 3, 2009 at 1:00 pm
Take this time to rest, Snoopy – stay warm and relax
Marinade Dave // November 3, 2009 at 1:15 pm
I’m sorry to hear about losing power, Snoopy. When we practically live online, that’s a horror! And your furnace? Not good, but I’m very glad you have back-up heaters.
I am going to make a good voodoo doll of you to counter the bad one that someone else made. My power is much stronger than theirs because good always outweighs bad. Don’t worry about a thing. You are in safe hands.
Newbie // November 3, 2009 at 1:16 pm
Snoop, sorry about the voodoo doll. I just wanted to see if it actually worked before I did several on some doctors. lol
jilligan45 // November 3, 2009 at 4:01 pm

Vicky // November 4, 2009 at 10:13 am
Dave – Have you had the opportunity to read the three new motions that the defense filed yesterday?
Marinade Dave // November 4, 2009 at 10:16 am
I’m working on the new motions right now, Vicky. I’d like to have something up by later today or tomorrow if I can. I’m also working on another project, so I can’t answer with both feet planted firmly on the ground.
Vicky // November 4, 2009 at 10:59 am
No hurry. I wasn’t trying to be pushy
I am actually a fairly patient person – most of the time LOL.
I am much more interested in you other project. You have peeked my curiosity
jilligansworld // November 4, 2009 at 12:56 pm
Last time, I promise…I had to change my name again cause I didn’t staple the password to the email account I created to my ass, and I’m too lazy to struggle to find it out…. Tengard, jilligan45 is now Jilligansworld! This one I nailed to the forehead.

Laura // November 4, 2009 at 2:23 pm

jilligansworld // November 4, 2009 at 2:23 pm
Oh no, honestly I re read the comments a couple of days ago looking for a link Snoopy had gave me and saw what was said and I really appreciate everything you said. I don’t really get that upset, only over the really stupid crap like this whole tat issue, to each his own I say…. people greive in so many different ways. jmo
Laura // November 4, 2009 at 2:28 pm
Yea I may comment but all the silly stuff I ignore. I don’t put a lot of weight in most comments. I only did what I thought was right. I was angry that you was called a criminal. Then you was GONE and I thought you was mad….
Laura // November 4, 2009 at 2:30 pm
My grammar is all kinds of messed up today. I meant has been rough out there lately. I think my fingers are slower then my mind.
jilligansworld // November 4, 2009 at 2:35 pm
Oh no, never gone… just displaced between the ride work and home, come 5:00 I’m outta here! Never ever be worried that I am upset, I just let it roll off my back… I may not know the truth, why’s ans where’s about a lot of things, but you know if I pipe in…it’s hit a nerve near and dear to my heart. I can promise you this, you will alway have a friend as I value your opinions daily as everyone elses on this site… we may not always agree, but I like to think that’s what makes us unique. Ps… did you all vote for Dave today? Several times?????

Holy mojo… talk about typo’s, good Lord,it’s gotta be 5:00 somewhere….lol
Laura // November 4, 2009 at 2:39 pm
Yes I voted. I just worry about you because they would ask 9 hundred questions and not believe one thing you said. I think the A’s will come around when it is time. I am glad they get out and do stuff though. Not because I am judging them but because it is very good for their mental health. It is hard loosing a child. I don’t envy them and I have to be honest don’t agree with all but I will say they are very protective of their daughter that we have in common.
jilligansworld // November 4, 2009 at 2:48 pm
Laura,
… had to get that in…lol
Let me tell you this, being a mommy of 2 girls myself, I find myself very protective…. I couldn’t imagine losing a child, it was hard enough haveing to ID my mother’s body who was my best friend 3 hours after talking to her on the phone making plans for the weekend, nother story, nother time.. Maybe that’s why I’m even more so protective of my family and friends. You know, I don’t always condone things that are said or done, but I do know that in my heart that they are really two wonderful people with a lot of bad mojo going on. I could only wish I had someone in my life like me…and you know what…I do, I’m blessed and I know she’s reading right now… That’s why I like to speak my peace on Daves site, because I’m not judged and you are all very fair…. VOTE FOR DAVE
jilligansworld // November 4, 2009 at 2:54 pm
I really don’t care if they or anyone believes me, that’s not why I’m here…. My honest true intentions before stumbling upon the Marinade Dave and Moody Monica site were to shout out to the world that there will be Justice for Caylee…. that day is coming, it may take some time but Karma works in funny ways… and then I found you all…., you have all become a part of my life….and that my FRIEND is why, I am blessed!
Laura // November 4, 2009 at 2:57 pm
LOL! Sorry about all the bad stuff that you have been through. I wouldn’t wish a dead child on anyone. On a different note I met a little girl named Kaylee, she is paralyzed. She was hit on a playground by a drunk driver. Kaylee is now 16 and has raised over 46,000 for children that was hit by drunk drivers so they can take a vacation after leaving the hospital to adjust to their new lives. The point is, as I listened to her story I was amazed at her courage and then the name dawned on me and I was overwhelmed that now 2 C(k)aylee’s have brought lots of good things to peoples lives. They are blessed to have had her even if it was for only 2 and 1/2 years. just my thoughts.
Laura // November 4, 2009 at 2:59 pm

Laura~~Bobbie and hubby are in Chicago looking at real estate. She spent today in her new office, just for orientation. She described it as , “a crummy little place.” LOL As long as they pay big bucks, what’s the diff. Her house was only on the market 5 days and sold. The real estate agent bought it for his wife.

Hey Newbie~~got any biscuits and gravy ??
We had our first snow today but it was mixed with rain. I always get excited when we see the white stuff for the first time during the season. I like the big old snowflakes making their slow descent to the ground. It makes me crave hot chocolate.

Kim and FM2-
Thanks for the suggestions and comments.
FM2- I appreciate that soooooooo much. My place is nice and I never wanted to be a landlord, I am a single woman and can’t sell this place in a bad market and I got “hosed” by some bad people who moved in and never paid and actually said “youre going to have to take us to court to get us out” and I did and it took about 2 months and I was left with nothing but a “judgement” for $2,000 and a trashed place. and I even had to go as far as going back to get a judge to sign something to literally have to get them out. They wouldnt leave. Even with a court order.
So I am trying to salvage the place on my own, so any suggestions help. I will check out that product.
And thanks Kim, your GD is sooo cute, wish I could give her a haircut.
I have my own salon and I love it when kids come in. I have the game down with the kids and alway have fun with them and can get them to sit still and have a good time!!!!! (and they get an awesome haircut too).
Thanks for your help.
Lots of good people here on Dave’s blog.

Kim- well someday she will probaly need a “trim” lol. I hope a nice person does it.
Yah, it was a bad deal. I am still shaking my head wondering why people can behave the way they do.
I had to go to the court house a whole bunch of times and spend a lot of $ to do it.
When I was that age, I respected people and paid my bills.
These guys were even laughing and being buttheads while me and the court officer stood outside the door and watched them pack. (they had LOTS of notice). And the court officer supplied garbage bags for their stuff and helped them move out!!!!!!!!!!!!
UNBELIEVEABLE.
Thanks, I will checkout Room Shocker. For sure.
Lots of repairs to be done but the smell is pretty important.
Kim // November 7, 2009 at 6:09 pm
smell is very important – my client had done evrything we could come up with right down to carpet cleaning. He was resisting painting since the entire house had been painted less than 6 months before. The room shocker did the trick. He was so impressed he ordered more for his own home! The new tenants were amazed with it as well.

Vicky // November 7, 2009 at 11:20 pm
Olive – I think you are starting to get my point. Now I hope I am correct. We will see based upon how Judge Strickland rules on the Defense Motion to Dismiss.
Once the jury finds the defendant guilty, then a separate hearing/trial is held. At that time the jury hears more evidence to include mitigating circumstances, victim statements etc. Then they deliberate again and make a recommendation to the judge. In Florida, the judge gets the final say if the jury comes back with a recommendation of death.

Vicky // November 7, 2009 at 11:26 pm
Judge Strickland will clarify all of it for us when he makes his decision. As will SAO in their answer to the defense motion.
One thing is for certain. The Capital Murder charge has never been dropped.
If the jury finds Casey guilty, then there will be a separate trial for sentencing. That is the part where the SAO does or does not argue for the DP/
snoopysleuth // November 7, 2009 at 11:26 pm
Olive~~before I got my own blog, July 7/09 …I was detwill39… a little man with a spyglass LOL
Olive // November 7, 2009 at 11:29 pm
So the SAO argues for the DP, say, and if the jury disagrees, then what? Do they make a suggestion or does the judge tell them their options first, before the deliberate?
Vicky // November 7, 2009 at 11:30 pm
The first phase of the Capital Murder trial only determines guilt or innocence. The penalty phase is where the jury makes its recommendation to the judge. If it is death, then it is up to judge Stan to accpt that recommendation or reject it. He can’t impose death if the jury comes back with LWOP, but he can decide to impose LWOP if the jury recommends death.
snoopysleuth // November 7, 2009 at 11:30 pm
Vicky~~one little question. When did Lenamon come on the scene for Casey? He was taken aboard to get the DP off the table.
Why, if it was never on the table?
Olive // November 7, 2009 at 11:32 pm
Oh, I’ve seen quite a few detwill comments here. I kinda wondered what happened to that poster!
On the Hard Cell article, I saw that Maura commented. She was the one who had stated that the DP was not brought back, that it was never there to begin with. Not here, but on Topix, I believe.
Olive // November 7, 2009 at 11:35 pm
So if the state had never brought the DP forward, then what would the jury be recommending? LWOP or 50 years or whatever?
Olive // November 7, 2009 at 11:36 pm
What I mean is, if the state did not seek the DP, the jury would not be able to recommend the DP?
snoopysleuth // November 7, 2009 at 11:36 pm
Maura is good… she popped a couple times in the past month.. I have been following this case for 14 months. I am bonkers…
Vicky // November 7, 2009 at 11:36 pm
I believe that if the SAO decides not to argue for death then the Judge will charge the jury accordingly. They can only consider lesser offenses if they are included in the charges made to them by the judge in the documents they use for deliberation.. That is yet another hearing that occurs outside of the presence of the jury.
So, if they are not provided with a charging document (don’t know if that is the right word) that allows them to consider the DP, then they can’t consider death.
snoopysleuth // November 7, 2009 at 11:37 pm

Poo another comment in spam.
The Grand Jury voted for a True Bill for the charges of Capital Murder (along with other charges) That means that they gave the SAO the go ahead to request the Judge Strickland charge Casey with Murder 1. He did so, based upon that indictment. I think the grand jury relates to the 6th ammendment, but not exactly sure. I would need to check.
Once the judge agrees to the charges brought to him by the SAO, then he officially charges the defendant.
At that point in time, both the DP and LWOP are the only two sentences that a jury can consider during the penalty phase, unless an agreement is made to include lesser charges. That process includes the judge, the defense and the prosecution.
Vicky // November 7, 2009 at 11:47 pm

Shadow // November 7, 2009 at 11:50 pm
“Vicky~~one little question. When did Lenamon come on the scene for Casey? He was taken aboard to get the DP off the table.
Why, if it was never on the table?”
Snoopy, let me clarify. Capital Murder carries either the DP or LWOP so it was always on the table. Baez hired Terrance Lenaman to come in to argue to take the DP off the table. He was successful. The day after the remains were found the SAO petitioned to have the DP put back in and were successful.
snoopysleuth // November 7, 2009 at 11:51 pm
A death penalty jury deliberates on the DP or LWOP. They do not have to be unaniamous, it can be 8 for and 4 against for example. The judge makes the final decision but he seldom goes against the jury.
Olive // November 7, 2009 at 11:51 pm
Thanks Vicky! Either of those two sentences are just fine with me. But nothing less!
snoopysleuth // November 7, 2009 at 11:52 pm
Thanks Shadow…
Olive // November 7, 2009 at 11:55 pm
I feel the DP should be put in place for 2 reasons. Even though she hasn’t been found guilty yet by the jury, I have found her guilty. I know, I dont count. LOL But if she is, I think the DP should stand because, one, she would deserve it and two, a very strong message needs to be sent that abusing and killing children will no longer be tolerated. These crimes against children is way out of hand. It’s an epidemic and it has to stop. Sooner than later.
snoopysleuth // November 7, 2009 at 11:55 pm
Olive~~read Shadow comments… it was put on the table after the remains were found…
Vicky // November 7, 2009 at 11:57 pm
Thanks Shadow. My understanding is that the SAO only has to advise the defense of their intent to seek or not seek the DP. I have found nothing that says they can’t change their mind at any point within reason. As I stated earlier on the other psot – in spam. Judge Strickland did not stop them from seeking the DP in April when they filed notice with the court.
snoopysleuth // November 7, 2009 at 11:57 pm
It is easier to get LWOP if you have a death penalty jury.
Vicky // November 7, 2009 at 11:59 pm
No Snoop – the decision must be unanymous. Otherwise there is a hung jury and a mistrial is declared.
Olive // November 8, 2009 at 12:01 am
Yes, I know it was put on the table after the body was found. I’ve been trying to keep my eye on the dates of reports in the doc dumps to see if there is anything there that made them seek the DP. However, I think the real damning evidence has not been released to the public yet and may not until the trial.
Olive // November 8, 2009 at 12:03 am
How can there be a mistrial during the sentencing phase, after someone has been found guilty of the crime?
New Puppy // November 8, 2009 at 12:03 am
RE: Following this case. More than 14 I think for me! Will it be another year? Is trial due in March-April of 2010
Or am I not remembering all.
Vicky // November 8, 2009 at 12:03 am
They advised the defense that they would be asking the jury to consider the DP once the body was found. You were correct earlier. It was always one of the options. The SAO just has the option of whether or not to argue for it during the penalth phase.
The defense really wants the whole case to go away. Not gonna happen. If not that, then they want to DP removed. Probably not gonna happen unless Casey takes a plea.
Olive // November 8, 2009 at 12:05 am
Do you really think the State will accept a plea, after Casey has turned down that option before?
Shadow // November 8, 2009 at 12:08 am
Vicky, the Florida Constitution provides that in the death penalty phase the jury does not have to be unanimous. It is a contentious issue in Florida but that is the way it is as of now and for this case even if it is overturned before Casey’s trial.
Vicky // November 8, 2009 at 12:08 am
Olive, The judge has to find another jury to hear the penalty phase. The penalty phase is a separate trial from the guilt phase. Crazy as it seems. They can decide on LWOP rather than the DP. Or if there are lesser included offenses they can decide on those. But if even one juror holds off from agreeing about what the sentence should be, then there is a mistrial.
The defense can opt out of having a jury hear the penalty phase and leave it up to the judge. At least that is how I understand it.
Vicky // November 8, 2009 at 12:12 am
Thanks for that clarification Shadow. I thought when I read the statute it said they all had to agree for the DP to be imposed. So I assumed that it would be the same for other penalties. Wow. That is weird. Even in voting for death?
Shadow // November 8, 2009 at 12:13 am
“But if even one juror holds off from agreeing about what the sentence should be, then there is a mistrial.”
Vicky, I just explained this above. In the penalty phase, the verdict “Does not have to be unanimous.”
Shadow // November 8, 2009 at 12:15 am
Sorry Vicky, I didn’t see your post above mine before I responded.
Vicky // November 8, 2009 at 12:16 am
I think if she went for an Alford plea, they would have no choice. I doubt the defense would go that route out of fear the judge might impose the DP. But if they were confident he would not, they could go around the SAO.
However, I think the SAO is fairly confident that they can win in the guilt phase. It is in the DP phase that anything can happen. So, if she agreed to LWOP, I think they might accept it.
snoopysleuth // November 8, 2009 at 12:22 am
Vicky~~my mailbox was full and not one love letter….
Now I will scroll up and read comments….
Jury doesn’t have to be unanimous on penalty phase…
Shadow // November 8, 2009 at 12:25 am
Vicky, in an Alford Plea the defendant does not admit guilt but admits that there is enough evidence to convince a judge or jury to find the defendant guilty. I doubt seriously if Judge Strickland would allow the defense to enter an Alford Plea.

Vicky // November 8, 2009 at 12:31 am
I know that they don’t admit guilt. But I found cases where it was used in murder trials where the defendant did not want a trial, but did not want to admit guilt and the judge accepted the plea.
Shadow // November 8, 2009 at 12:37 am
Vicky, it is unusual for a judge to accept an Alford or nolo contendre plea in such a high profile case, especially Capital Murder. Remember that Judge Strickland said that “the truth and Casey Anthony are strangers”? No way is he going to accept a plea that doesn’t include Casey admitting everything that she did and how she did it.

trial jury must vote unanimously
sentencing must be a majority vote

I looked all over online for a place to buy it locally so I could get it quicker.
Can’t seem to find any place to buy it besides online. Thanks so much. Lot’s of good reviews.

Marinade Dave // November 8, 2009 at 11:47 am
I saw that, too, but I’m not one to toot my own horn. Besides, knowing my luck, it won’t last and if I say any more about it, I’ll jinx myself.
Olive // November 8, 2009 at 12:00 pm
At least give yourself a pat on the back Dave, you earned it! I hope you are feeling better today. Did you read the new Hinkymeter article? It’s quite interesting.

Thank you, Olive. No, I haven’t read it yet. I’ll go there now.
Oh… yes, I am feeling better today, thank you.
Vicky // November 8, 2009 at 12:05 pm
Hi Dave – Glad to see you up and about. Hope you are feeling much better today. Was also glad to see that you are holding your own in the poles.
I have to say, your Florida DP laws are quite interesting. Now I really understand why the defense is so up in arms about the DP being on the table. It is a lot tougher to get 12 people to agree to the DP, but when SAO is only looking for a simple majority, the odds move much more in their favor. Especially in a case of this nature.
I also saw where the Florida Supreme Court has made some recent rulings regarding the DP.
Marinade Dave // November 8, 2009 at 12:08 pm
Thank you, Snoopy. Definitely, you can poot, I mean toot, for me. I will behave myself. Promise.
Marinade Dave // November 8, 2009 at 12:12 pm
I am feeling better, today, Vicky. Thank you.
Florida is strange in that regard. I would think a DP penalty should be unanimous, but in the end, it’s the judge who makes the final decision.
snoopysleuth // November 8, 2009 at 12:13 pm
Hi there Vicky…toot toot LOL
Listen to Dave, he is our teacher!!
toot toot
Marinade Dave // November 8, 2009 at 12:17 pm
Hey! My new AT&T Yellow Pages book has a John Morgan refrigerator magnet on it. Whoopee!
Olive // November 8, 2009 at 12:20 pm
Dave, is it true that there is a separate jury for the sentencing phase? I was under the impression that it was the same jury from the trial.
Marinade Dave // November 8, 2009 at 12:22 pm
It’s the same jury. A DP trial is set up in 2 phases. The guilt or innocence phase and the life or death phase if the defendant is found guilty. That’s one of the reasons why the DP is asked for, to seat a jury that would be willing to execute someone.
Weezie // November 8, 2009 at 12:23 pm
If it’s up to da Judge, let us hope he is on Caylee’s side. I am happy that DP doesn’t have to be “majority rules”, because in the end it should be the preponderance of guilt, not whether 12 jurors agree to DP in principle.
Vicky // November 8, 2009 at 12:25 pm
I’m Sorry Olive – I was answering the question you asked about if the jury couldn’t arrive at a decision. At that point Iwas under the misguided notion that the DP had to be unanimous. Sorry about that. A second jury can be impaneled to sentence the defendant if the guilt phase jury is not avaulable.
I found this ruling by the Florida Supreme Court last night while making myeslf familiar with Dp in Florida. It’s kind of long, but worth the read.

Weezie // November 8, 2009 at 12:26 pm
Dave; In the Scott Peterson trial it was the same jury for both guilty and sentencing. Don’t you remember Strawberry Shortcake? I followed that one pretty closely. Now maybe it’s different in Florida? Not sure.
Weezie // November 8, 2009 at 12:28 pm
Thanks Vicky you just answered my question mark.
Vicky // November 8, 2009 at 12:30 pm
Hi Snoopy – That is why class is usually cancelled if the instructor does not arrive. While Dave was sleeping last evening, I should have been too. LOL
snoopysleuth // November 8, 2009 at 12:32 pm
Dave~~I will get John Morgan to vote for you and Mitnik too…. I’ll tell him he can be your counsel when you become a celebrity. He will work pro bono when he finds out you have him stuck on your frig…
snoopysleuth // November 8, 2009 at 12:37 pm
Vicky~~you did wonderful last night. Florida laws are a tad different than the other states.
Make that tad a big wad… I find their laws interesting though. That Alford plea is another interest and can’t be ruled out completely in this case yet???
Marinade Dave // November 8, 2009 at 12:42 pm
Weezie – It DOES have to be a majority rule, but the judge renders the decision in the end, not the jury. The jury recommends the penalty.
Vicky // November 8, 2009 at 12:49 pm
Snoopy – I don’t think the Alford Plea will be used in this case. Casey’s attorneys have an agenda that goes far beyond this case – IMO.
Don’t get me wrong, it will be a huge feather in their cap if Casey is found not guilty, but if she is, I think they are also hoping for some time before the US Supreme Court to argue certain aspects of the law.
snoopysleuth // November 8, 2009 at 12:51 pm
The judge seldoms overrides the jury in it’s decision in the penalty phase.
snoopysleuth // November 8, 2009 at 12:54 pm
Vicky~~I doubt if Judge Strickland would allow the Alford plea.

Olive // November 8, 2009 at 12:56 pm
I feel very strongly that Judge Strickland will make the correct decision, I have all the faith in the world in him. We could not have asked for a better Judge to oversee this case.
Olive // November 8, 2009 at 12:58 pm
I’d like to add that even if he hands down a sentence that I personally don’t agree with, I feel that he will make the right decision.
snoopysleuth // November 8, 2009 at 12:59 pm
Olive~~it is no secret that I love Judge Strickland. He is intelligent and does his homework. Also, he is fair and excels in having patience with the attorneys.
Shadow // November 8, 2009 at 1:12 pm
What I don’t get, Dave, is why is DISUnplugged on the list twice.
Marinade Dave // November 8, 2009 at 1:31 pm
Good point, Shadow. I think I’m still #2 because of a computer glitch.
snoopysleuth // November 8, 2009 at 1:49 pm
Marinade~~the pages are loading so slow in here and your other post. At my age, can you speed things up and open up a new post so I wont have a birthday before I get to the next milestone?
When are you ever going to houseclean this place and get rid of some superfluous fluff ?
Marinade Dave // November 8, 2009 at 2:12 pm
OK, there’s a new OF page up. It should be fast again.
